Three plead guilty in fake voter scheme
The Seattle Times ^ | October 30, 2007 | Keith Ervin

Posted on 10/30/2007 2:13:05 PM PDT by Monitor

Three of seven defendants in the biggest voter-registration fraud scheme in Washington history have pleaded guilty and one has been sentenced, prosecutors said Monday. The defendants were all temporary employees of ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, when they allegedly filled out and submitted more than 1,800 fictitious voter-registration cards during a 2006 registration drive in King and Pierce counties. No votes were cast in the names of the phony voters. Prosecutors said the defendants committed fraud in order to keep their jobs without actually registering voters. King County election workers brought the fraud to the attention of prosecutors last October, after noticing that signatures on many registration forms looked like they had been written by the same person. Ryan Olson, 28, of Needles, Calif., was the first to be sentenced. He pleaded guilty Thursday in King County Superior Court to two counts of providing false information on a voter-registration application, a felony. Court Commissioner Kenneth Comstock sentenced him to 30 days in jail or in electronic home detention, the sentence recommended by prosecutors, said Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the King County Prosecutor's Office. Tina Johnson, 24, of Tacoma, and Jayson Woods, 20, of Elkridge, Md., also have pleaded guilty to eight counts each of registration fraud. Donohoe said prosecutors have recommended 120 days of jail for each of them using the same formula applied to Olson: 15 days for each count. Brianna Debwa, 35, of Tacoma; Robert Greene, 56, of Tacoma; and Clifton Mitchell, 45, of Lakewood, Pierce County, have pleaded not guilty and are scheduled to appear in court in November. Kendra Thill, 19, no known address, was charged with voter fraud and is wanted for failure to appear in court.

Anyone keeping count on how many of the ACORN chapters have been involved in voting fraud schemes?

This is a THREAD - JACKING.

********************

THE IMPORTANCE OF PAIN

It’s a fact. The Washington State elections were stolen by Gregoire and others. Yet as Libertina correctly observed, while our very civilization is close to perishing, there were no protests. The majority stayed home. The usual explanation is that conservatives are working types where deadbeat protesters are free to turn out because they are funded by entitlement programs paid for by working people like you and me. I get that.

However…

This weekend I attended a women’s retreat with my church. During an innocent conversation, I mentioned that I had observed how nearly everyone I know uses anti-depressants. Just like the rest of the world most of the women at the retreat were on anti-depressants for one reason or another. Many for depression that follows severe physical pain, but most for emotional coping. A discussion ensued regarding mine and others peeves about “legal” drug pushing.

It peeves me when I see drug commercials of any kind.

It peeves me that more than half of the content of any magazine are ads pushing drugs.

It peeves me that American doctors choose to medicate for every little complaint.

It peeves me that being “PAIN - LESS” has become an inalienable right.

Hang on … this will eventually relate to the battle for civilization.

Whether emotional or physical, pain is a teacher. Pain tells us where we hurt so we can put attention toward a problem. Enduring emotional pain is a process that gives us the opportunity to depend upon God. That’s my opinion. But further, when we have a nation of “flyer’s”, we’re passive. The barbarians are past the gate burning, raping and pillaging, but we don’t care. Logic is screaming “we’re going to die!”, while our numbed emotions slumber in a drool of synthetic contentment.

We’re taxed to death, our land and our elections are stolen, victims are punished, criminals are coddled, borders bleed terrorists, leaders sell off our sovereignty, the media spins, educators invent history, Science isn’t, deviancy is dumbed down. The list is endless... yet because we can’t feel the pain, we allow it. I’m not saying we don’t understand what’s happening, it’s just that we’re not motivated by any survival mechanism (that would be PAIN), to protect ourselves. Our hero, Pain, has been tied up and locked in the closet.

I don’t believe that conservatives will ever take to the streets in protest until pain is cut loose and free to do it’ job. And that unfortunately may be never.

Get off the drugs.

Rage can be CouRAGEous.

Pain is a hero.

Anger without hate is a virtue.

Humbly - Jo

We are losing our rights slowly. And by not feeling the pain if they were lost all at once, we are like a frog in a pot of water. As the heat is turned up slowly, we don’t feel the pain until it is too late.

I don't know, but I'll walk you through to see if we have one. Left click on the "Forum" option in the upper right. If the Search Site is not on "By Poster," use the drop down menu to make it so. Enter cgk and left click on search.

Click on cgk for cgk's homepage. Then click on the link below the pic of the cat carrying water. Start scanning the lists.

As an aside, do that for any screenname, and you get their posting history. It's useful when you read a weird comment and suspect a new troll who just signed up.

BTW, have we had two different denial of service attacks since last night?

P.S. This is a very rare teaching moment, so everyone was pinged. cgk, thanks a lot for maintaining the lists.

Only dems do this sort of thing. And now they are trying desperately to get illegals registered to vote so that they will get a dem into the White House.

So for democrats, for each felony count you get only 15 days in jail?

I have yet to see any conservatives busted for this.

And who does everyone think about as associated with voter fraud? Yes, it is the same exact people who fight tooth and nail to make sure we can’t verify that a voter is who they say they are.

Once you understand how large-scale voter fraud (mechanically), you’ll know that all of those fraudulent voter registrations will each have zip codes stacked in the voting Precincts that they (politicians) compromised/infiltrated (e.g. poll watchers, vote day officers, etc.). In our state, they are called the Abbott Districts. They are the typical, lower income, always blue and crime ridden areas.

These phantom voters often collect multiple paychecks, take polls, have been called for jury duty (oops), trade on stock exchanges and donate to campaign funds.
