[Ron] PAUL’S AD PUSH
msnbc ^ | Oct 27 07 | Domenico Montanaro

Posted on 10/27/2007 9:01:09 PM PDT by freedomdefender

On the heels of a St. Anselm College poll showing Ron Paul in fourth place with 7 percent in New Hampshire, the candidate is starting to spend some of those millions he’s raised with radio ads and an upcoming TV ad. But Paul is also stepping up efforts in direct mail. The campaign put together a 12-page biographical pamphlet being mailed out in New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Presidential Watch blog reports, “The mailing comes at the same time that Ron Paul will spend $1 million on five New Hampshire television commercials.”

Paul has also spent $430,000 on a new radio ad, which will run in New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina and Nevada. The 60-second ad, an appeal to New Hampshire independents, mentions Paul’s name 11 times and focuses on conservative principles of spending, foreign policy and taxes and mentions “flip-flopping” Republicans and Bill Clinton.

You must admit that he is awesome on 2nd Amendment rights, pro-life issues and small government.

And anti-Americanism, pro terrorism, and white flag waving cowardism. Just what we need.

Isn't that a good thing? A liberal progressive like your neighbor is supporting a guy who is pro life, pro borders and pro limited government.

You forgot to mention cut and run is also a pro terrorist anti-American who is only interested in surrendering to the terrorists, rather than winning the WOT.

FYI, Ron Paul's been a registered republican for at least 35 years.

Being registered a Republican, and acting and voting like one are two different things. Cut and run is a prime example.

NH is Ron Paul’s chance because it’s a small state and independents can vote in either party’s primary. So Paul is probably going to go for broke here.

Thanks, I forgot about that. You forgot to mention that in addition to being anti-nation building Ron Paul tortures little caterpillars with a magnifying glass and has a stash of Playboy magazines under his bed.

I did not know about the caterpillers or the Playboy magazines, but I do not care about them. I am only concerned about him being a blame America first anti-American who is only concerned with us losing the WOT so he can continue to say “I told you so”. He would rather have the terrorists attacking us on our soil than having us win the WOT.

So I guess you’re not going to be meeting travis at the next Ron Paul meetup group.

In all seriousness, there is a little bit of a difference between Ron Paul who was against nation building from day one and the liberals like Hillary who were all in favor of it when the polls told them it was a good idea and now are opposed to it because their voters want instant results and will therefor pander to them and do anything to stay in power, including sabotaging their own military for political gain.

Now that we are already there, we might as well treat Iraq like the Terrorist Roach Motel...the jihadis check in, but they don’t check out.

Impossible, no way Ron Paul or others that supported him would be so stupid or self absorbed as to not vote Republican as to help enable a Democrat victory.

You can take stupidity so far IMO.
No way Ron Paul supporters can be conservative and that dumb, so don’t worry about it.

a blame America first anti-American

That description fits only if you also classify George Washington as a blame-America-first anti-American. Paul's foreign policy is taken straight out of the Constitution, and out of the clear doctrine of George Washington (read Washington's Farewell Address; because our public schools are so dumbed down today, most Americans are no longer familiar with Washingont's words - words that were well-known to previous generations of Americans, when the schools taught American history and government.) By the way, Paul also wants to abolish the US Dept of Education. Great idea!

The 14th Amendment and the Fifth Amendment will suffice. If they don't, I am not willing to see the slaughter continue for another century of obfuscation, delaying tactics, constitutional delusionism, "civil liberties" excuses, anarchy, antimoralism and other "libertarian" frauds and phonyism. I say this as one who in a misspent youth was a Libertarian Party state officer and later grew up.

The paleoPaulfraud will do something or other IF he eats regular. What he WON'T do is anything effective against abortion. After thirty five years or so of Roe vs. Wade cramming 50+ million slaughters of innocent babies down the throats of Americans on the excuse that somehow the constitution (all here genuflect to the founding demigods) guarantees the right of each woman to slaughter her unborn child in cahoots with some sorry excuse for a physician (why? Because the elites want the right of their precious little Skippers and Muffies to kill the elitists' conceived grandchildren lest Muffy or Skipper be embarrassed by the natural results of their own irreesponsible misbehavior!)

How many babies Dr. Demento delivered is utterly irrelevant. What is at issue is what the fraudulent phony would ACTUALLY DO to end abortion in America. Lest there be misunderstanding: End means just that not merely make it possible for any or all of 50 random jurisdictions to end abortion. If NYC and LA and Chicago want abortion, it is the poor who are killed and the elite are delighted. If abortion mills flourish in La Jolla, and Brookline and more fashionable venues, that helps Mr. and Mrs. Elite to shield little Muffie and Skipper (the wind tunnel next generation of those elites who are, at least in their own minds, gods not to be trifled with by mere peasants).

All of the "consttutionalist" eccentrics would do better to focus their fire on federal involvement in education, federal regulations not specifically

If Ron runs for 3rd party, the main votes he’d end up getting are the anti-war reagan democrats. Most conservatives or libertarians (lower case) who generally agree with Ron would vote Republican (unless its Guiliani)

No one—including Republicans—believed abortion was covered by the 5th or 14th when Roe vs Wade was done and maybe only 1-3% do now. To pinpoint this only on Ron Paul is ludicrous. What bill did the Republicans introduced with the house/senate/whitehouse in 2000-2006 to ban abortion?? (Hint there is none). Ron Paul has done more to crusade against abortion than most and has said that he would have a litmus test for SC justice to overturn Roe vs Wade, this is far more conservative on abortion than 90% of Republicans running for office and none of the main candidates have stated they would have that requirement. In short, you are full of it.

Ron Paul’s views on abortion are indistinguishible from John Kerry’s.

In the 2004 election debates, John Kerry said he personally opposed abortion but he would not use the power of the presidency to abolish abortion if elected. No one considered John Kerry to be pro-life.

Ron Paul says he opposes abortion but he said he would leave it up to the states, ie, he would not use the power of the presidency to abolish abortion if elected.

I’ll accept Ron Paul as pro-life when you convince me John Kerry was pro-life.

Rest of #73:

authorized by the fedconstitution, repealing the New Deal, Fair Deal, New Frontier, getting the US out of the foreign aid racket, repealing that portion of the constitution (the supremacy clause mention of treaties) which frighteningly places treaties on a par with the constitution itself (Article VI?) and a bunch of other things instead of joining with Planned Barrenhood and the anti-infant Nazis and using the constitution as an excuse.

Meanwhile, another 1.5 million will be sliced, diced and hamburgerized by surgical abortion alone this year and next year and the year after that while the paleonincompoops like Dr. Demento sit around doing nothing, wringing their hands, posing for holy pictures and absolutely REFUSING to do ANYTHING effective to stop the slaughter. To top it off, he also poses for holy pictures worrying oh soooooo much about the American military death toll in the 4 1/2 year Iraq War which (while certainly regrettable as are all premature deaths and particularly since these are the deaths of those better than Dr. Demento by far) that likely will not reach the MONTHLY toll of death on the American highways in the 1960s.

] Let the elitist fraud, phony and stooge be limited to his natural constituency of the Americong and be swept out of his Congressional nomination by Chris Peden. It may well be that ANY GOP nominee except for cross-dressing Julie Annie will appoint justices who would repeal Roe. Repealing Roe is fine but more is needed. That more is the recognition constitutionally of the unborn as "persons" for legal purposes. Dr. Demento can be counted on top resist "personhood" to his dying breath. Therefore his claims of being "pro-life" are irrelevant since, as usual in his foreign and other policies, he favors DOING NOTHING.
