I don’t see where it says he is an illegal alien. It says Guatemalan native. That could mean illegally here, legally here on visa or legally here as a citizen of the US. Not that it makes him less of a bastard.

Unfortunately, our 'legal' immigration bureaucracy is so screwed up, that they may as well be illegal aliens. Last year USCIS lost the files of 300,000 visa applicants. So they just went ahead and approved them anyway, with no vetting. Some of the Mexican Drug cartel grows around here have been Mexicans with legitimate green cards.

I could be wrong, but committing any crime while in the US on Visa or Green card is grounds for immediate withdrawl of said documents. Since this POS violated our laws on many occasions that makes him illegal, correct?

If this fellow is actually an ILLEGAL "immigrant"...that probably
is still unknown to the arresting authorities.

Like you, I don’t know. I just hate when people jump the gun on things like this. It hurts the overall cause. Crying wolf syndrome.

That said, it’s completely plausable he is an illegal in the true sense (violated visa or crossed into the country illegally), but this linked story didn’t spell it out. Reporters butchering the stories Americans won’t butcher.
