In a report posted on the website Atlantic Free Press, Code Pink leader Medea Benjamin claims that a high-ranking Democrat staffer demanded the immediate release of the protesters who were arrested at yesterday's House hearing where Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was assaulted by a Code Pink protester.
Benjamin, who was also arrested by Capitol Police outside the hearing room, wrote this morning that, "The Deputy Chief of Staff of the House Foreign Relations Committee contacted the Capitol Police later in the day to again relay that their (sic) is a policy of that committee to not arrest Citizen (sic) protesters but to instead escort them out of the room. The Deputy asked for the CODEPINK members to be released promptly from custody."
Code Pink has many allies in the Democratic majority who facilitate their illegal behavior. The assault by Code Pink on Sec. Rice crossed a line. That the Democrats demanded the immediate release of the Code Pink protesters is an appalling abuse of power and an insult to Sec. Rice.
I wonder if she was assisted by some Democratic staffer in getting past security.
If the Republicans had half a brain they'd indeed call for an ethics investigation.
Just as they should have called Durbin's Dream Act what it actually was: an open opportunity for HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
The SoS is 4th in the Order of Presidential Succession, after the VP, the Speaker of the House, and the President pro tempore of the Senate.
For Pelosi’s House to allow the SoS to be assaulted in the House like that is atrocious and inexcusable.
Bush ought to make it clear to her in no uncertain terms that he will allow none of his Cabinet to come to the House until she brings security to the appropriate level of seriousness.
Pelosi ought to see to it that the Chairman of that committee is censored for his failure to ensure security for the SoS. And the Dim congressperson who cleared those Code Pink moonbats into the committee room should be censored, at the very least.
This is not just a big game. This is serious business, and should not be consigned to the ol’ boys network treatment.
If XXX-42 were still in charge and they pulled this the hounds at the IRS would be all over Code Pink. You couldn't show a 1040 to one of them without them breaking into tears afterwards.

I believe you are right, that this is all orchestrated. The Democrats on the committee commit verbal assault on anyone sent there by the administration (officials or nominees) while this supposedly unconnected group commits physical assaults. If the target complains the media will make him or her look cowardly or thin-skinned.
Code Stink is the same group that was camping out in front of Pelosi’s house. Somehow Pelosi had the whole mess of stinky pigs moved several houses down to a neighbors house so that she did not have to smell them any more. Lucky neighbor? Yet these pinkos somehow have unfettered access to congress to disrupt and cause havoc. Set the tazers to stune and give them some shock therapy.

Perhaps Pelosi is playing the same game that the Saudis did with the Wahabis. Perhaps SHE is buying them off from hassling HER by providing them with tickets and security clearance to attack the Bush administration.
Anyone who thinks that these “protesters” just show up and walk in are sadly underinformed..........They do the Dems “dirty work” and the Dems have “clean hands” and can be portrayed as “centrists”......................
IO am reminded of that planned kangaroo lynch circus that the Dems has “Sheets” Byrd host, egging and feeding a crowd of Code Pinkos and Co. as he attacked, in hearings, a couple of members of our military and Dod(?), who had to sit there and take it, until Byrd figured they had been abused enough, or that he was losing control of the screamers, and ordered them removed, like he had nothing to do with them being there in the first place.

I’m beginning to think that the dem win in 06 was a blessing in disguise. The libs are showing the world how nasty and extreme they are. It’s a real turn off to normal voters. I was thinking about these protesters today. I was wondering how they got in the building and that close to Rice. Also how did they get the paint through security. I wonder if some of the Democratic staffers did not supply them with the materials. Sounds like an inside job to me. Throw the book at them.
