Nutter leads Republican mayoral hopeful Al Taubenberger 74 percent to 8 percent among registered voters, and 83 percent to 8 percent among likely voters. (For details, visit www.thenextmayor.com)
"In all the 15 years I've been polling, I've never seen a major-party candidate in single digits two weeks before an election," said Terry Madonna, director of the Center for Opinion Research at Franklin & Marshall College.
The widest margin in a Philadelphia election for an open mayoral seat over the past 56 years came in 1991, when GOP candidate Frank Rizzo died during the campaign. Democrat Ed Rendell beat replacement candidate Joe Egan 64 percent to 30 percent.

>> Nutter in a rout
Ha ha! Joke’s on me, I thought it was an ElRon Paul thread!
They need to change their name from “The City of Brotherly Love” to “The City That Doesn’t Work.”
“nutter should be an improvement over street, at least we hope.”
He should be an improvement and seems like he will be ..however thats not expecting much. Anything will be an improvement over Street the thug.
And electing a Dem politician named “Nutter” will provide the rest of us with endless comic value. Way to go Philly! Thanks!
He actually ran a very good primary campaign. Sounded like he has some intelligence and didn’t go the route of rape the rich to feed the poor.
from what I saw of him, he looked to be sensible.
Lets hope. Street turned Philly back into a toilet.
Just another crook in a line of crooks.
To be fair, however, I listed to the last debate, and Taut was awful. Inarticulate, confused, and conspicuously uncomfortable. Nutter came off as confident and direct.
Philly is just another sick rat infested dung heap, so I don’t really care about it. I do, however, feel sorry for the few Americans left in Philly. They should be evacuated because Broad Street is more dangerous than any street in Baghdad. We should pull out of Philly. It is not worth the American blood being spilled there everyday.
No Blood for Cheese Stakes!
The City of Brothers Killing Eachother
Don’t get your hopes up. He’s crying about illegal guns — the same useless whine that’s been Street’s only plan to handle the skyrocketing murder rate. Worse, I just saw an ad that said nothing but did manage to show pictures of the President and VP. Sad. A huge lead but his ad only appeals to BDS.
If Philly was a stock, I’d increase my short position.
