On November 6, the taxpayers of New Jersey will again be asked to pony up--this time $450 million to fund every abortionists' favorite white elephant, Embryonic Stem Cell research. As most FReepers already know, Embryonic Stem Cell research involves the willful creation and destruction of viable human embryos for therapeutic techniques that, to date, have resulted in NO cures.

And of course, the NJ bill does not fund Adult or Cord Stem Cell research, a much more promising and less ethically troubling experimental treatment modality which to date has yielded 73 successful therapeutic uses.

Here in NJ, we're working to get the word out on the grass-roots level. Here's a link to a flyer that lays the issue out simply:

And as long as we're at it, please also beware of Diane Allen (RINO) who is running for senate in District 7. She is also considered a viable candidate for governor by her admiration society in the NJ media. She is basically a democrat masquerading as a Republican in the worst tradition of Christie Whitman. It would be better to turn her out now.

If I remember correctly, Ms. Allen was also part of the cabal that stabbed Bret Schundler's campaign in the back in 2001 and helped elect Jim "gay American" McGreevey.

“Don't stem cells cure disease? Why should I vote no?

• Fact: To date, adult and cord stem cells have been used to treat 73 diseases successfully successfully. This type of research shows promise. However, this bill will not fund any additional research for adult or cord stem cell research. It will only fund one type of stem cell research—embryonic stem cell research.

• Fact: To date, embryonic stem cell research has resulted in NO SUCCESSFUL CURES. In experimental testing, the use embryonic stem cells has resulted in tumors and mutations, not cures.

This bond question involves using $450 MILLION TAX DOLLARS to fund questionable embryonic stem cell research, not productive adult stem cell research. The provision includes using property taxes to pay for the research. This will increase taxes, and not for hopeful research, but for destructive and ineffective research.

After checking the wording of the bill, it appears that adult and cord cell research is also covered under it. Not that it makes the bill any better, but I just wanted to make sure we are handing out accurate information. A revised flyer has now been uploaded. Here's the revised text:

There was something else too and I’m really very mad that I don’t have the text to it. I heard someone wrote an editorial breaking out how the monies went on this. I heard Jim Gearhardt read it on 101.5; but I was in the car and couldn’t write any of it down. That show never provides transcripts either.

It was explained how the budgeting was originally one amount; then the monies were upt to include others on the gravy train (the $450M). That editorial had it broken out. I don’t know what paper it was in, nor do I know who wrote it. I’ve not be available to look it up either.
