By the way, I don’t think Ron Paul is “crazy.” I just think he’s wrong.

If the question needs to be asked then the answer is obvious.

Narcissistic and delusional may be better terms.

"His foreign policy sucks. People are already attacking us and he refuses to acknowledge that retaliatory force is almost a moral IMPERATIVE"

Then it would have been better if we were attacking the right source, Syria and Afghanistan, instead of Iraq the bulwark we needed against Iran.

First Paul thread of the day!

Is he crazy, no.

Ron Paul relies on historical facts many American's are ignorant of

isn't afraid to reveal clandestine operations and interventions

so much denial due to various forms of conditioning of people's opinions

who is it that "radicalized" Islam to fight against the Russians? We did!

We created and installed Sadaam Hussein.

We have been purposely destabilizing numerous regions and have and are causing all kinds of malice and strife among nations

Iran as acting in a very logical manner

all we are doing to engender strife and conflict

humbling ourselves as a nation and repenting of our evils we have perpetrated

taking on a very powerful group that have patiently endeavored for generations to acquire the positions of power they control

But it's fair to say that America sucks and Americans, ex Paul supporters of course, are stupid.

‘For example, who is it that “radicalized” Islam to fight against the Russians? We did! We created Osama Bin Laden. We created and installed Sadaam Hussein. ‘

Both of these claims are utterly without merit, they’ve been debunked numerous times.

The only type of people that believe these two myths are Democrats in public, to vilify Bush, and Ron Paul.

The fact the Islamofacists will NEVER STOP is not addressed by Ron Paul anywhere, at any time, from what I can tell, and lord knows I’ve seen enough articles, interviews, and youtube things for it to have been made in the past.

You cannot negotiate with religious zealots. They consider even considering ‘negotiating’ a sin before God. Doesn’t matter what religion we are talking about, btw.

Ron Paul’s ‘big idea’ is to withdraw from Iraq, apologize to the entire world for our existence, and selected actions over the course of over 200 years....and then what?

Hope religious zealots, in this case Islamofacists, accept the apology and ‘make nice’?

We can’t afford that type of insanity right now. The last time we choose to ‘ignore’ this particular threat was the 1990’s.

September 11th, 2001 should have made it impossible this type of thinking would be promoted again in our lifetime.

Again, more assertions of our unending nefarious activities. I certainly don’t accept the assertions of the Indo-Asian News Service, whatever the heck that is, and I certainly don’t see how having contacts with power players in other countries, particularly anticommunist ones during the height of the Cold War can be called anything but prudent.

Good for us, it was in our interest. Unless we had some sort of magic time machine, it was the right decision at the time.

What these articles never talk about is what would have happened if we took a different path. Would Iran have won the Iran/Iraq war, then taken over Kuwait, then Saudi Arabia, then cut off all oil supplies to the West, selling only to China. Our economy and Europe’s economy collapse while China, spurred by cheap oil and Middle East alliances start to take over all of Asia? Just an educated guess, but speculation is what people who made the decision on who to ally with at the time had to go on as well.

Was it wrong to ally with Stalin against Hitler?

He's running as a Republican, from a strict "original intent" constitutionalist platform.

That's proven to be an insane proposition.

Of course the author's case for Paul involves only foreign policy.

In my paranoid moments, Ron Paul’s campaign was spawned by Hillary and he’s her idea of the alternative Republican (like Perot) who will split the Republicans and win her the presidency the same way Bubba won it.
She knows RP is loony, but she doesn’t think WE know it.
However, that’s just paranoia...until it happens! :(

You know, they always talk about Osama, as though we created him when we helped support the Mujihadin, yet, they never mention that our ally, the Northern Alliance and the antiTaliban Afghanis were also part of the Mujihadin.

We rightly look at this man as a hero!

Why isn't people like this held up as 'our creation' when we supported the Mujihadin against the Soviets?

>> All Americans should do a reality check on Ron Paul before dismissing him.

Been there. Done that.

Dismissed him!

What’s more, now that I have “gotten to know” ElRon, I find myself opposed not only to his nomination for POTUS, but also opposed to him remaining in Congress!

GO Chris Peden! http://www.chrispeden.org

SS you are having a great day today with photo-shop! I saw a bunch of Paul supporters with their signs downtown yesterday and wanted to stop and ask them about their 911 theories, but did not have enough time. Next time I will stop and get the real story.
