David Copperfield designed part of his show around "a system for picking up women," which may explain the FBI's interest in his camera system and hard drive, sources told TMZ.
Last week, the FBI raided Copperfield's Las Vegas warehouse and seized digital camera equipment and a hard drive to a computer after a Seattle woman accused him of sexually assaulting her in the Bahamas.
During his show, Copperfield goes into the audience and chooses women to come on stage. If he likes a woman, he'll use code words with assistants like "mama" and "secrecy," TMZ reported.

The assistants mark the women on a map of the inside of the Hollywood Theater at MGM Grand. After the show, the women are brought backstage, and told that Copperfield may use them in his show when he comes to their hometown.
They are then photographed with a digital camera, asked questions like, "What is your favorite men's cologne?" and "Where do you like to vacation?"

So Zeigfried and Roy, are they still performing? Michael Jackson is insane, so he can't do Vegas. Vegas is going to be real quiet with all these people in jail.
That is not of course to say that Seigfried or Roy has done anything worthy of jailtime, didn’t want to lump them in with Jackson and Copperfield. One of the poor fellas got mauled by that tiger. But my point being, the “talent” is disappearing.
Picking up?
or levitating?
“So Zeigfried and Roy, are they still performing?”
I don’t think jail was what put them out of business.
In fact, the best magic show in Vegas is someone you have likely never heard of. Mac King.
I still think this is outrageous. Why on earth is the FBI investigating an crime allegedly committed in a foreign country, which the alleged victim never reported in that country?
bttt

Heck...the Rapist used to have Secret Service pick-up the girls he wanted.
If that is what this is about, then they don’t have much of a case. The fact that some woman can describe his pickup technique doesn’t come close to proving she was raped.
One question I have is why the US authorities are involved in this at all if it’s a Bahamas case.
Copperfield won’t be the first to use his gig to pick up women.
Isn’t that why people tour in the first place? At least that’s why Phlorescent Leech and Eddie toured. “Wanna see the inside of our tour bus?”
Steve Martin, (who was a Vegas magician for a short time) had a great comment. He said, if you want to perform in Vegas but have absolutely no talent, become a magician.
If a woman goes back stage to see a performer at his request and then on a vaction on one of his islands, she must know he is looking for sex. That she did not report a rape in the Bahamas indicates she is looking for a paycheck.
Every time a woman accuses a man of something, he is assumed guilty.
Does she actually happen to have evidence?
I think you will find out somewhere down the road that the FBI and IRS have been watching this guy for several years...moving promisary notes and cash in and out of the country. The fact that he has this house down in the Bahamas....is a strong hint of financial causes. Go back and research Don Johnson and his Germany trip from five years ago (he was caught with a billion dollars in his car...various banking notes, promisary notes, and bonds...which the Germans copied and sent to the IRS...and Don had alot of explaining to do later with his “clients” and the IRS). I think Copperfield is doing the same stuff. A successful magician in Vegas can amass a sizable fortune....like Siegfried and Roy....but Copperfield is worth alot more than those two....so you have to wonder how he acquired his wealth.
