I think you will find out somewhere down the road that the FBI and IRS have been watching this guy for several years...moving promisary notes and cash in and out of the country. The fact that he has this house down in the Bahamas....is a strong hint of financial causes. Go back and research Don Johnson and his Germany trip from five years ago (he was caught with a billion dollars in his car...various banking notes, promisary notes, and bonds...which the Germans copied and sent to the IRS...and Don had alot of explaining to do later with his “clients” and the IRS). I think Copperfield is doing the same stuff. A successful magician in Vegas can amass a sizable fortune....like Siegfried and Roy....but Copperfield is worth alot more than those two....so you have to wonder how he acquired his wealth.

Yeah, I remember the Don Johnson thing. That was too weird. And the weird thing is that nothing was really made of it. No one found that odd? The press sure didn’t.

S&R live on a 10 million dollar estate and have a life-time contract with the Mirage. They brought 1 bill into the Mirage. I don’t know how much they or Copperfield make respectively, but it’s hard to imagine someone making more than them.

Do you call yourself a conservative? His money, his business.

How Cooperfield aquired his fortune is no secret. He travels the planet doing untold numbers of shows every year. Forbes has estimated he career earnings to be well in excess of $1 Billion.

It’s a no brainer why the wealthy(Michael Jordan, Oprah, Bill Gates, etc.) invest in the Bahamas:

“As the world’s premier tax haven, The Bahamas offers the perfect investment opportunity as there are no personal, corporate, income, capital gains, estate, gift or inheritance taxes. Easy access to major world markets, political stability, security and economic opportunities are all a reality of business in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.” http://tinyurl.com/2mxppv

Great points. Thank you!

Probably would have been more helpful if you'd mentioned the follow-up to the "billion dollars in the car" story regarding Johnson:
It turns out Don Johnson was telling the truth: The actor had nothing to do with Swiss financial documents detailing $8 billion in transactions

Explain all that to me the Don Johnson thing. I never did understand what he was doing. I know he said he was carrying money for a friend but never understood what was really going on. “Splain it”!!
