Democrat Pete STARK APOLOGIZES to PRESIDENT and TROOPS
MSNBC ^ | Oct 23, 2007 | Mike Viqueira

Posted on 10/23/2007 9:03:19 AM PDT by rface

Embattled Democrat Pete Stark has just publicly apologized to "the president and his family."

He took the floor after his fellow Democrats successfully killed a motion to censure him in the wake of his remarks last Thursday asserting that American troops were fighting in Iraq to have their "heads blown off for the president's amusement."

"I want to apologize to my colleagues, many of whom I have offended," Stark began. He then apologized to "the president and his family" and "the troops."

"I hope that with this apology, I return to being as insignificant as I should be," he concluded though a voice cracking with emotion.

Angry, looser liberals. It doesn’t get any worse than that. The whole ‘selfish’ world is to blame they can’t hack in the real world like the rest of us, for ‘selfishly’ and ‘unconsionably’ not sharing the wealth with their self involved selves.

Was wondering the same thing. I think he is a lush and should attend AA.

Why would you inflict his psychopath on AA members?

Anyone listen to the Grandy and Andy Morning show in D.C.?

I'd rather pour battery acid into my ears.

Did the House join hands to sing “Kumbayah”?

I's a Democrat Congress. They held each other's genitalia.

["After his mea culpa, Stark walked walked off the floor to the Democratic side of the chamber and for at least five minutes stood sobbing while fellow Democrats gathered around him. Reporters close to the Speaker's Lobby were not able to hear why he was crying.']

Wow. I didn't know how much he was affected by this. I really feel for him.

OK. I'm over it!

Fortunately for Rep. Stark (D), I hear that lobotomies are still obtainable.

And in other news, A Fox News Military Analyst this morning reported that the Sunni’s are tired of Muslins being killed by Muslins, have given Osama bin Laden the equivalent of “the finger” and are working with U.S. and Iraqi troops to fight against Al Qaeda in Iraq. Yes, it is a VERY VERY VERY GOOD DAY.

I strongly suspect Stark was beaten down by the DNC, Hoyer, Pelosi, and every political consultant worthy of the title for his remarks.

As for the Democratic Underground types....glad they feel betrayed. At least time its ‘real’.

""I hope that with this apology, I return to being as insignificant as I should be," he concluded though a voice cracking with emotion." Insignificant? You got that right Mr. Stark. Oh, and btw, your apology, which is far too late, should have started with the President. You need to make another apology. As they say in Hollywood, "Take Two!"
