Sorry folks, this is obviously photoshopped. There is no support for the flag in the rear. The woman on the right is half the size of Obama. If that were a matter of perspective, the chair on the right would be half the size of the chair on the left. It looks like it’s about 4/5 the size. They’re looking in at least two different directions, maybe three.
Check out the shadow from Obama’s legs. There should be shadows falling in the same direction from the two women. There is a shadow behind Hillary, but the angle looks different from Obama’s shadow. It looks like Time got snookered!
I forgot to mention that the flag is perfectly straight even though it’s outside. It’s also cut off at the bottom.
That was taken directly from the times website, the distortion is probably caused by a wide angle lens
Go to the Time link and zoom in. There is a wooden support visible behind the flag just behind Obama’s left hip. The bottom of the flag looks like it is between two layers of hay bails. The Flag looks like it is nailed up there.
Agreed about the photoshopping. Look at the way the blue field on the flag is indented by OHO’s arm, the bottom of the flag chopped off, the strange perspective of the flag compared to the perspective of the chairs and women. It’s a very poorly done collage.
You may be on to something. I located the vanishing point to examine the size relationships. The green areas were used to find the height of chairs. The rear chair is only 1/2 the scale of the front chair.
I moved the two women slightly forward on the stage to put their feet in line with Obama's. Obama, sized proportionately, does seem unusually large in relation to Hillary. Any thoughts?
