You may be on to something. I located the vanishing point to examine the size relationships. The green areas were used to find the height of chairs. The rear chair is only 1/2 the scale of the front chair.
I moved the two women slightly forward on the stage to put their feet in line with Obama's. Obama, sized proportionately, does seem unusually large in relation to Hillary. Any thoughts?
Obama seems "unusually large" because he's closest to the lens.
I don’t know much about photoshop, but I do know that sometimes the perspective in pictures taken by my digital camera is fairly skewed.
Pretty late to the party, but my wife just emailed me the photo. I used a divider to measure how tall Obama and Hillary are compared to the height to the seat of the chair.
Obama = ~4.25 chairs x ~ 17.3” = 73.5” tall (Height of Obama from a google search.)
Hillary = ~ 3.8 chais x 17.3” = 65.7” tall. (Hillary’s bio says she is 66” tall).
So, I think the height issue is mute. (I backed into the 17.3” height of the seat of the chair based on Obama’s bio, but it seems reasonable for a folding chair, but I don’t have one around the house.
The blue gap (with the bars) between Obama and the flag is probably something to do with the construction.
The red in the hay bales seems to form lines and is probably red baling twine and the blotches are where they were tied.
