Thanks to nosy neighbor Millie Hazelwood, Madison, New Jersey has its own Gladys Kravitz to make sure that delicate sensibilities are not offended. Millie spotted a hanging figure amongst the Maines family Halloween display and found an opportunity for relevance and her 15 minutes of fame.

I had to research the story further to verify it wasn’t satire.
I don’t think people like Millie understand that when they jump to conclusions and become overly sensitive about everything, then everyone stops believing the real stories. I had a real encounter with racism once, and no one believed me. There are so many people lying or just imagining racism, that everyone is skeptical now.
Does anyone have a link to the video, btw?

I'm offended that you would ask that question.OK, You win. Now I'm offended! But let's keep the lawyers out of this and settle this like gentlemen of a kinder, gentler age.

I rather think that God new, even before any of us were born, that there was going to be Halloween celebrations.

What gives the NAACP or anyone for that matter any right to say you have to take something down on your property because THEY find it offensive??
The people who get these kinds of complaints should stand up and show they are not going to be pushed around. SCOTUS has already ruled no one can make you take down a Christmas decoration which is essentially the same thing here only a figure of hallowen.

God can use quite unlikely actors for His purposes.
So this means you believe that nosey and super tight assed Millie Hazelwood and the NAACP are actually doing Gods work? I would hope that God has more important things to do with His time than harassing Ms. Hazelwoods neighbor over their Halloween decorations LOL!
However the damn holiday (arising largely out of a mockery of the Christian churchs All Saints Day on November 1, hence its October 31 date)
You might be interested to know that Halloween originated from the ancient Pagan festival Samhain, long celebrated in late October by the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain and that it pre-dates Christianity.
It was a day of religious festivities that coincided with ancient harvest festivals in various northern European Pagan traditions until Popes Gregory III and Gregory IV moved the old Christian feast of All Saints' Day from May 13 to November 1.
Meaning that you have it a bit backward; Halloween isnt on Oct 31st to mock the Christian holiday of All Saints Day, rather the Christian holiday of All Saints Day was moved to November 1st to counter Halloween.
The early Christian church did a similar thing with Christmas. It is widely accepted that Jesus was not born on December 25th but more likely in the spring. But the celebration of Christs birth was officially celebrated on December 25th to help the newly converted pagans accept Christianity without having to lose their long honored winter festivals; for the Romans it was winter festival of Saturnalia. Saturnalia was a time of general relaxation, feasting, merry-making, and a cessation of formal rules. It included the making and giving of small presents including small dolls for children and candles for adults. Sound a bit like Christmas?
And the celebration of Christmas also corresponds to more ancient Winter Solstice celebrations long practiced by the newly converted European pagans. Many ancient symbols of earlier pagan religions were incorporated into and reinterpreted as Christian symbols such as the Christmas Tree, evergreen wreaths, the Yule log, the lighting of candles, gift giving and feasting. And many symbols of Easter like the Easter Egg and flowers have very pagan origins related to fertility rites and I hope that as a good Christian you dont engage in any of these evil Pagan rituals.
I hope you have neighbors like Millie who are watching you closely and will express their righteous indignation express their offense at your offensive displays by calling the police on you. (Sarcasm).
