Michelle Malkin talked to FOX's John Gibson, audio here, about the heat she has taken in reporting on the Frost family.

Here's a quick "rough" summary:

Gibson: "Dems trotted out a kid to be poster child for this bill then objected when someone would look into background like what is their financial condition, what help do they actually need- you can't do that because you are now a purveyor of hate. Joining me now, Michelle Malkin-somehow you got named a big villain in this battle. How'd you do that?"

MM-"I listened to folks in the blogosphere, a number were asking questions about Graeme Frost and his family-the 12 year old roped by Reid into doing the democrat radio response- it turns out the Frosts were not the best poster family for this program. Regardless of the veto this family is covered. In looking into financial aspects and situation before SCHIP there are questions who is entitled to gov insurance in first place-this is a 2property / 3vehicle driving, 4 kids in private school family. Some have financial aide-others we are not sure about. The question has to be asked, is this exactly the type of family that should be benefiting from government insurance.

Gibson: "Pelosi seems to be saying that when a kid is brought out they are off limits-out of bounds to look into their story-they are protected as any kid in class thats not in front of cameras. In reality, that isn't the way debate works is it?

MM-"No, its a cowardly way to play the absolute moral authority card. We saw it with Cindy Sheehan -If you question this mother you were cruel, beating up a mourning mother. Years later we all realize what a kook she is and its acceptable to say that now. When dems use 12yr old kids in car accident, and now a 2 yr old- switched to because apparently our questions were legit enough that they ditched the Frost family for the Wilkerson family, you cant do it because you are an ogre a hate monger and sliming children. Kroegman, Pelosi, Reid are going after not just the bloggers-not just the people on the internet who were digging into this because the MSM wouldn't, but of course all of hate radio -all part of slime machine."
