The U.S. military says it has dealt devastating and potentially irreversible blows to Al Qaeda in Iraq in recent months, leading some generals to advocate a declaration of victory over the group, which the Bush administration has long described as the most lethal U.S. adversary in Iraq, the Washington Post reported Monday.

“the most lethal U.S. adversary in Iraq.. the Washington Post”
Boy did he get that one right.
What? Did they arrest Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and level the New York Times building?
nope. nor did we see abortionist led out in handcuffs.
The “Mission Accomplished” banner applies to the carrier group returning from it’s deployment - you will see all kinds of banners displayed when units return home from missions. The “debacle” is that the MSM and democrats have further advanced this canard among many others in their efforts to smear Bush. Let us see Harry Reid’s “The Surge is not Working” banner next time he speaks in the Senate.
Good news... problem is, we can’t seem to deal enough devestating blows to Al-Qaeda-in-Congress.
I miss the good ole days whens dems said republicans wanted seniors to eat dog food. Better to be liars than traitors.
someone please tell Gen. Sanchez....
I just want to make sure we really defeated Al qaeda and not end up with a major explosion the day after declaring victory.
I’d like to see at least 3 months of minimal activity before saying anything that could be used against us
So you don’t want to celebrate before the work is done ?
Hard to believe that this needs explanation.
actually, I would love to see Bush honor the military in a big ceremony next year with a HUGE "Mission Accomplished" banner above the podium. Our military deserves the recognition, and it would enrage the lib's so much it would be funny to watch.
Nancy, Harry & Co start up on Turkey in order to deal a devastating backhand blow to our troops...
Tit for tat?
Here's hoping they do because I do not believe Al Qaeda has had it's fill yet...
Here's also to hoping Petreaus launches another big push to absolutely choke the life out of Al Qaeda In Iraq so we can devote our full attention to the new arrivals.
