Holy Crap, I agree with Alan Colmes!
Hannity & Colmes ^
Posted on 10/15/2007 6:07:14 PM PDT by Recovering_Democrat
Holy crap! Alan Colmes has just taken some woman from NOW and some guy from the NABJ (Nat'l Association of Black Journalists) to task for opposing the return of Don Imus to radio!
Colmes is arguing that these people need to let the free market work!
My beeber is officially stuned.

I’m listening to it myself, and it is interesting. They both ripped this NOW Spokeshole Sonia Rossorio.
Both guests (detractors of Imus) generally got thier lunch handed to them.

The left lost its only effective radio voice when they
ran off Imus.

Yeah, but don’t forget that Imus is a liberal, that’s why.

Maybe he caught a bug working so close to Hannity?

Good for Colmes. Imus got a raw deal and apparently Hillary was behind it.
I am so sick of political correctness and the Thought Police that I have found myself coming to the defense of people with whom I strongly disagree.

I have zero use for Alan Colmes. IMHO, he appears to be a pathetic human who is looking for something that he will never find.

Why does Imus deserve to be deprived of his career and the right to free speech? Isn’t this what the Left likes to call McCarthyism? If he deserves this treatment, how about Al Sharpton and some of the other totally irresponsible big mouths on the Left?

It’s not that you agreed with him, but that he agreed with you.
And that is amazing and good news!

...continuing.
Yesterday there was a thread that mentioned a bar in Britain, where they actually had a buzzer the proprieter could push to let the police know someone was smoking. Whether it was installed for that purpose or not, it was just chilling to think the police would trot right over there to stop the smoking.
Today you hold for 911, but let that buzzer go off and “we’re there!”

The sad part about Imus coming back is that WABC in New York has got him. I assume that that means that Curtis & Kuby are going bye-bye and Curtis goes back to overnights and fill-ins and Kuby goes back to being activist/attorney-at-law.
OTOH, there's a slim shot that they'll go the FM route and boot "Scott & Todd".
Whichever they do, I'll be listening to whichever stays on the air. I aint listening to Imus. quack quack

Maybe some of what Sean Hannity says day in and day out to Colmes on the TV show has sunk in.
But a broken clock is right twice a day...

The man is simply unwilling to call a slimy politician what he/she is when given the opportunity.
What sort of shock jock is that?
May Imus be reduced to reporting school cancellations during snowstorms and endless High School Football scores.
