Holy crap! Alan Colmes has just taken some woman from NOW and some guy from the NABJ (Nat'l Association of Black Journalists) to task for opposing the return of Don Imus to radio!

Colmes is arguing that these people need to let the free market work!

I have seen Colmes argue a few times against imposing media sanctions on anyone. They are all in the same guild. It’s not about politics now, they’re talking about jobs and money.

Hillary has hated Imus since he spoke at the Radio/TV Correspondents Association Annual Dinner in March of 1996. In doing a Google search, I found an article in the Arts section of the NY Slimes about how the Clinton's press secretary Mike McCurry had called C-Span and asked them not to re-broadcast Imus' dinner speech, so you know it wasn't liked. McCurry said no one told him to call C-Span, that he'd done it on his own, but you and I know who told him to call.

According to another Slimes March '96 article: "At C-Span, the vice president for programming, Terry Murphy, said the dinner speech would be rebroadcast, tonight at 8, as scheduled. Then, Mr. Murphy -- who is also the chairman of the correspondents association -- signed the letter apologizing to the Clintons."

Alan Colmes' radio show plays in our area. He spews some of the most despicable, sneering commentary against our President and anyone that is not a lefty.

When anyone calls to complain...he keeps saying 'Sir' -'Sir' and talks right over them without letting them speak. That does not happen if the caller is a RAT agreeing with him.

His defense of Imus is self-serving!! If Imus can be kicked off the air - Colmes with his poison can too...so he is literally defending himself!!

Last week Steve Emerson was on H&C and he flat out told Alan Colmes, “you are an apologist for islamic extremism”. It’s about time someone told him. I’ve been watching H&C alot less lately. Colmes is ascum. He’s a phony american.
