Mom' and 'Dad' banished by California
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | October 13, 2007

"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.

"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.

"With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers."

"Arnold Schwarzenegger has delivered young children into the hands of those who will introduce them to alternative sexual lifestyles," said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, which worked to defeat the plans. "This means children as young as five years old will be mentally molested in school classrooms.

"Shame on Schwarzenegger and the Democrat politicians for ensuring that every California school becomes a homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination center," he said.

Reparations is what Reagan did for the Japanese-Americans held in concentration camps during WWII. Reparations is payment of money.

If you're opposed to tax breaks for the disadvantaged, fine. But that's all Keyes was talking about, as a REPLACEMENT for the current welfare state. Remember, the Great Society programs are a form of reparations, and replacing those with a tax break is a more conservative approach.

But you're free to go ahead and support the affirmative action supporter, Fred Thompson, or whoever you find more pure.

I’m voting for Duncan Hunter. You realize that in order to make up for the lost income we’d have to increase taxes on the rest of us (so basically I’d be paying taxes for Blacks) to keep it revenue neutral. So yes that is reparations whether you care to admit it or not.

You're ignoring the point. Again, the idea is to give tax cuts to replace the Great Society reparations, WHICH WE CURRENTLY HAVE.

So far as I know, Hunter has offered up no plan to get rid of our welfare reparations.

Yep. It’s a read that is not in the specific language of the bill; it’s a projection of what the trial lawyers and ACLU will use within the bill.

Of course, those are wonderful people. /sarc

The two are seperate issues whether or not you think so. The most likely outcome would be reparations only and no removal of entitlements should he become president and push both of those plans through and you know it.

"I realize that Republicans from left-leaning states have to make concessions to stay in office,"

All CONventional wisdom is very true right up to the point that we all finally figure out that IT ISN'T!!!

The CONventional wisdom ran VERY HEAVY against the first "B Grade Actor" who went up against the best Democrat Governor CA ever had.

But way too many FReepers and Lurkers have simply forgotten the thrill of meeting that challenge to CONventional wisdom!!!

Too many Californians and Americans have simply been brow beaten into losing their political WILL of insisting on political COMMONSENSE & DECENCY!!!

The Al Davis school of political expediency especially among CA Republicans has really, REALLY, REALLY come home to roost!!!

That's what we have now, with the welfare state. What's Hunter's plan to put an end to it?

Again, the Keyes plan is to put an END to reparations by replacing the welfare state with a tax break, which ultimately would abolish the income tax for everyone.

It's ingenious, really.

Maybe you're fine with the status quo, and want to keep paying what we're paying. That's fine. But don't fall in line with those who paint this myth of Bogeyman Keyes who wants to steal yo' money, bro.

We do not have reparations now, we only have a welfare state. Should Keyes get into the presidency with our current congress, the most likely outcome would be welfare state PLUS reparations--an awful combinations.

Duncan Hunter's stance on the economy

Budget/Economy

3. Balanced Budget

I support a balanced federal budget, with additional revenue provided by economic growth, not increased taxes. Further, I support limiting growth in non-defense areas.

4. Areas of federal spending that will be priority for reductions and increases:

A balanced federal budget is a priority for our national economic health and long-term prosperity. Throughout my tenure in Congress, I have fought for federal spending to provide for our national and homeland security, as directed by the U.S. Constitution, and funding increases in both of these arenas will be necessary in the future to keep our families safe and secure

Budgetary savings must be identified through efficiency reforms throughout the federal government. Furthermore, we must aggressively attack the creation and funding of duplicative federal programs, many of which simply do not perform but cost taxpayers millions of their hard-earned dollars. According to Office of Management and Budget, 28% of federal programs are either ineffective or have results that are not demonstrated. Reforming, combining or eliminating those programs remains among my highest legislative priorities.
