"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife" have been banned from California schools under a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who with his signature also ordered public schools to allow boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa, if they choose.
"We are shocked and appalled that the governor has blatantly attacked traditional family values in California," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute.
"With this decision, Gov. Schwarzenegger has told parents that their values are irrelevant. Many parents will have no choice but to pull their children out of the public schools that have now become sexualized indoctrination centers."
"Arnold Schwarzenegger has delivered young children into the hands of those who will introduce them to alternative sexual lifestyles," said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, which worked to defeat the plans. "This means children as young as five years old will be mentally molested in school classrooms.
"Shame on Schwarzenegger and the Democrat politicians for ensuring that every California school becomes a homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination center," he said.

I live in California as well. The referendum process is an available tool to keep the moonbats in check. The hurdle is getting California voters and conservatives to wake up.

But why though. This is what the Republican Party wants. POS liberals like Schwarzenegger, Mel Martinez, and Guiliani are held up as sterling examples of the future of the GOP, while pro-liberty, pro-America Republicans such as Duncan Hunter, Pat Toomey, and Ron Paul are given the shaft.
One of the things you learn is that if you do the work, God will provide. My wife was sick over having to work to keep our home and keep our kids in Christian school that she found a way to make a living AND stay home for the kids. It has turned into success beyond our wildest dreams
Two things. Eastern Washington and Oregon are conservative, though lacking the population of the western parts of both states. Liberals in western Washington are the biggest pansies in the state. Cut off their latte and they will drop to the ground on their knees sniveling and whining.
Grey Davis should never have been recalled, and this a$$hole should never have become Governor. A menace to common decency, nevermind the CA GOP. I think it’s time to recall him. Jerry Brown wouldn’t be as bad as this.

You and thousands of other true conservatives in this country. I don't know who said it first, but it goes something like: a liberal leftist in office is like a bullet to the brain; a faux conservative RINO is like an inoperative brain tumor - slower in its action , but deadly just the same. Arnold has proven to be just a malignant brain tumor with a veneer of conservatism as a show. I never doubted this from the moment he took office. He has always been all Hollywood, including the values.
He will eventually sign fake "gay marriage" into law if he lasts long enough; it's only a matter of time.
yes, indeed. I barely survived with my wits intact. With a lack of fatherhood at the root of our problems, the public schools, lead by the darkside, tries fills the void.
....and I’m a single adoptive mother of four, and I homeschool all 4! We may not go out to eat in restaurants or by new clothes hardly ever, but we’re together, learning, building character, making great friends of other homeschooled kids, and learned more about the world then they EVER learned back in public school.
It’s worth every ounce of sacrifice (we’re having a garage sale now, making some extra pocket money for family special activities!)

I am amazed that the Gubernator did this. Hopefully the GOP will find a better nominee who will win in 2010. Word has it that Schwarzenegger will run for the U.S. Senate that year, and if we weren’t so desperately in need of a GOP majority there, I’d be opposed to his election for that.
My regional paper, the San Jose Mercury News, isn't bothering to report it. That's the only way toxic garbage like this gets foisted on the majority of rational Californians--through cover of darkness.

There are some people who are pro-life and are supporting Rudy “because he can beat Hillary” or “the only thing that matters is the WOT.” Even pro-life columnist Maggie Gallagher seems soft, or even leaning towards Rudy, according to the last thing I heard about her.
We REALLY have our work cut out for us.
