The Indonesian mother who created the Salma Muslim doll hopes the toy will help to inspire the virtue of modesty among girls.
28-year-old Sukmawati Suryaman's Barbie-like creation is the latest must-have toy for girls in Indonesia. Head scarfs and ankle-length dresses are in - bikinis and short skirts are out.
"She's so cute in her long-sleeves and ankle-length dress," 8-year-old Nabila said.

It’s so disappointing to see this Salma Muslim Doll make a fashion foupa upon initial release. Everyone knows that the Arafat cross the shoulder bomb-belt is the current fashion statement amoung the truly well dressed suicide bomber.
By spring I’m sure they’ll turn this around. When Ken dolls start being blown up around the world, things will be back to normal on jihad watch.

I’m not sure why this is even a news. They have tried to make Muslim Barbies, Hindi Barbies, etc. since long time ago. None of them was popular in their respective society.

There are lots of Buddhist, Hindu and even Church of Satan kind of stuff somewhere in stores worldwide.
