Ann Coulter did her best to drop a bomb on the October 10 episode of "Tucker" on MSNBC. At the conclusion of her interview, Ann Coulter announced that the National Enquirer was just reporting that John Edwards had an 18-month affair while on the campaign trail. You can read the story here.
Before going any further, this allegation must be met with a healthy degree of skepticism. First of all, the story is originating from the National Enquirer, which in and of itself, raises questions as to the story's reliability. Secondly, Coulter had a notorious run-in earlier this year with Elizabeth Edwards on an MSNBC episode of "Harball." Coulter would have every motivation to repeat a salacious tabloid sex allegation about John Edwards.

This so-called “scandal” better be pursued very, very carefully and with a LOT of skepticism. Remember that back in 2004, John Kerry’s campaign planted a bogus “affair” story in somebody’s ear with the hope that the Republicans would take the bait and end up with egg on their faces. This Edwards “affair” story could be a similar gambit.
I hope Ann knows what she’s doing. I also hope the smarmy rat she’s dating isn’t using her exactly for this kind of insurgency.
You know the National Enquirer is darn accurate in my experience.

The answer is, Yes.

LOL! That was exactly what I thought when I first read the opening sentences in the article.
Interesting that you decided to join FR a few months ago, instead of joining another forum.

Ha, ha, ha...Ann’s got bigger nads than 99% of the repube congress...
On TV yesterday she was rather vehemently anti-Rudy, anti-Fred, and anti-Mike. She didn’t rule out voting for them in Nov. ‘08 if one of them was the party nominee, but she did point out that is not the choice currently in front of us right now.
If memory serves she’s a Duncan Hunter fan. In a perfect world he would be our man...

The Clinton's sticky fingerprints were all over a lot of stories in the National Enquirer back in the Impeachment days.
I knew Ebert had some serious cancer, but I didn’t know it was that bad. Weird. Siskel died of a brain tumor at a pretty young age too. I used to like their show when I was a kid, when it was on PBS. My favorite part was “dog of the week” when a dog would jump into Siskel’s lap and they would introduce the worst movies of the week.
“John Edwards is cheating on his dying wife.”
His skirt chasing will hasten her death and he won’t even have to divorce her.
I grew up watching Siskel & Ebert because I love movies, not to mention I’m a former Chicagoan; it wasn’t until a few years ago that Ebert started posting op-eds in the Sun-Times.
I’m sorry your circle of friends is apparently limited to people you agree with politically; that would, as some have already pointed out, indict Ann Coulter too, not to mention force the Veep to disown his own daughter, right?
You don’t know me, I don’t know you - and from that petty little jab, I probably won’t care to.
Screw those. I'm sticking with the Weekly World News.
It's just the ticket to jump start his campaign in the demo primaries.
