A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 200,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY

I Forgot to Mention why I Named my Kitty Fang-Face; I Tried to Adopt a Young Male Kitty about the Same Time I Got Fang, and Fang was So Jealous of the Other Kitty, he Bit me! It was just a Slight Nip, but he was So Very Angry with me, Lol, that I Gave the Other Kitty to Someone Else! I Named him Fang-Face because of his Nip he Gave me in his Kitty Jealousy, Lol. : )

Goodnight, (((((jaycee))))), and Sweet Dreams.
No, I don't have Any Pets Now, 'Dita, because my Husband and I Live in 2 Different Places During the Week, so we can be Near to his Job Part of the Time, so I wouldn't be Home Everyday to Feed a New Kitty. :( I've Got to Wait Until my Husband Retires, and then I can Have Another Sweet Friend. : )
It's Funny how my Fang-Face would Allow himself to be 'Bullied' by my Tiny Female Kitty, the Toy, and Yet he Flew into a Kitty Rage over a Male Kitty being Around! But Fang was the Sweetest Kitty All throughout his Life; the Incident with the Male Kitty was the Only Time I've Ever Seen him Really Angry!

Puppy born with heart-shaped fur
Ahhh, this dog is such a sweetheart that it has been born with a heart-shaped patch on its fur. The little Chihuahua dog has been given the name of Heart-kun after owners discovered the unusual brown marking on its white coat. The puppy was born in Japan and is owned by Emiko Sakurada who breeds dogs to sell to people in her pet shop. Emiko said it was the first time a puppy with the marks had been born out of a thousand she had bred.

I am so glad ..I love it,too.
My best buddy at my daughter’s was a male lookalike of your Brigid. My daughter would not let me have him in addition to Silky. He is one of the best entertainers of her 7 kitties.

Why Do We Give?
READ:
Matthew 6:1-4When you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Matthew 6:3
Whatever happened to the notion of giving for the sake of giving?" asked Tim Harford, columnist for FinancialTimes. "The closer you look at charitable giving, the less charitable it appears to be." A study of door-to-door fund-raising campaigns, for instance, found that organizations earned far more by selling lottery tickets than by asking for donations.
"This hardly suggests a world populated by altruists seeking to do the maximum good with their charitable cash," says Harford. At least for some people, theres a something-for-me/something-for-you approach to giving.
Jesus also dealt with the issue of motives in giving. When He said not to let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, He was teaching that our motives for giving to God and to others must be pure. Our giving should be in response to Gods love. To encourage pure motives, Jesus instructs people to give and to do good deeds in secret with no thought of themselves. God, who sees everything, will reward them (Matt. 6:3-4).
Our generosity should be God-centerednot to make us look good, but to please the Lord. With your next good deed, ask yourself: If I knew that no one would ever find out that I did this, would I still do it
Grant us, then, the grace for giving
With a spirit large and free,
That our life and all our living
We may consecrate to Thee. Murray
God sees the giver as well as the gift; the heart as well as the hand.
