LOS ANGELES - Kiefer Sutherland pleaded no contest Tuesday to a charge of driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit and will serve 30 days in county jail under terms of a plea agreement.
Attorney Blair Berk entered the plea on behalf of Sutherland, who was not present.
As part of the arrangement, Sutherland must also enroll in an 18-month alcohol-education class and attend weekly alcohol-therapy sessions for six months.

18-month alcohol-education class and attend weekly alcohol-therapy sessions for six months. That would seriously drive me to drink.
Sutherland is already on probation for a 2004 drunken driving arrest.

30 days will be at most a week.
They also revoked his probation and he will be sent to jail for that for maybe a lot longer than 30 days.
I think there is more jail time after he goes back to court for breaking parole.

How in the world does an alcohol-education class last EIGHTEEN MONTHS?!? Well, you got to figure that learning just the German beers would take 6-8 month at least, then when you move on to the wine list...

The thing is here, he never stopped drinking and driving. I wouldn’t have in his shoes. The limits are too low. An older person(25 or more) accustomed to drinking can handle .125 easily. .08 is a joke.

shoulda invoked the paris hilton/celebrity get out of jail free precedent...
