Candidates participating:
OMG....he's toast.
That’s a shame. We need another Reagan, not another Bush. :-p
In other words promises she she can't, and has no intention to keep
Actually the questions weren’t that bad: there were two
“hosts” from The Wall Street Journal.
Thats a good reason to discount him. I can’t vote for someone who has a suit jacket that doesn’t fit him around the neck! LOL /s
The Paul people on won the internet poll because they are eouble voting-spamming? That must be it. After all, they double-money spammed five million dollars into the Paul campaign.
You can't vote twice...so much for the tired old spamming argument. My question is...why aren't the supporters of the OTHER candidates voting? There is NOTHING to stop them.
I thought Hunter’s best comment was when he talked about the President acting militarily, willing to make the call to strike a “fleeting target” without hesitation, or having to go to Congress.
If Clinton had acted, Bin Laden would have been killed in the 90’s.
>> I’ll keep an open mind to see if anything changes...but I didn’t see any passion from Thompson.
I’m baffled by the concept that “passion” is a good quality for a President. In a President, I would prefer a rock-solid, even-keeled, unshakable figure ... someone who isn’t governed by feelings or “passion”, but by reasoned conservatism.
This country is chock-full of “passionate” political figures ... and its gotten us a bunch of wacko liberals vying for evening-news soundbites and trying to look pretty for the cameras. A “passionate” political scene is one where each side shoots its mouth off, ever escalating the political rhetoric, and continually failing to get anything done.
Conservatism isn’t about passion - its about reasoned Constitutional stances on issues. What people have here cited as a lack of passion from Fred Thompson, I’ve seen as a steadfast, stoic, reasonable approach to American Politics ... and, honestly, just what this country needs after 15-years of constant political sniping during the Clinton and Bush administrations.

If Ron Paul spammed the poll why aren’t we spamming right back? We’re much bigger than they are. I guess we can’t pick a candidate?
LOL!!
I like the conservative with a record of being conservative....
DUNCAN HUNTER!!
McCain is the MSM Republican. They love him because he’s a “maverick.” He’d learn real quick, though, that if he were actually elected, the media would turn on him.
Well, you remember how “passionate” bj was...he was quite popular!! And a good President to boot!! “Passion” means everything, you didn’t know that??
A FReeper’s failure to find Duncan Hunter relevant to this campaign season is no call for you to suggest that he/she belongs at Daily Kos, particularly since that FReeper appears to be as good a conservative as you are and been here 5-1/2 years longer than you have!
Money and internet voting do not make a conservative Republican.
If Ron Paul has so much support, I expect to see a third party run after he loses the Republican primaries.
Debate 2 just happened: Kudlow vs. Hunter on China.
Hunter won that one too. :)
Since Nixon Kennedy the candidate who came off best on TV has won.
How ironic, isn't that were Fred Thompson announced his intent to run for President?
Excellent point.
