It will be held on October 9 in Dearborn, Michigan at the University of Michigan-Dearborn at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. And I liked the long pause that followed. Mathews didn’t know how to respond.
That's beside the point. Ron Paul is a man of rock-solid principles...if some freaks are taking advantage of the situation to further their means you can't blame that on Paul...that's guilt by association.
In comparing Romney to Thompson, it seems it is kind of a throwback to the Nixon vs JFK debate. With FDT being Nixon.
One conclusion with certainty is that Mathews should never have been allowed to moderate this debate.
I don't love Fred, but I loved that! Gotta give him credit.
Has any Paulite ever even attempted to answer that question?
Hey! I think someone left a mic open! I’m hearing Chrissy asking ‘senator’ (Fred?) something—keeps going in and out—I hear Mitt too...
One of the DuncanDonuts was “offended”, and I can only type so fast. BTW, I agree that for purely Conservative positions, Hunter would be my choice. HOWEVER, recognizing the reality of the ‘08 landscape, he CANNOT win Nationally, and I have to support the next-best candidate who is both Conservative and ELECTABLE....my choice is a Thompson/Hunter ticket. I will not stay home to make a political statment regardless of who the candidate is, but I sure would not be the cause of the Hildabeast back in the WH.
Ron Paul is a kook.
We disagree. From the standpoint of winning elections, it is a good thing if Paul can attract Democrats to join the GOP.
Dang, I missed it! I knew I shouldn’t have answered that phone call.
It’s a good debate,...matthews hasn’t screwed it up yet....
I don’t know about that. I would say that Matthews has actually done a pretty good job moderating this debate. I would say that it has been one of the more informative debates so far.

Does Huckabee realize how un-Presidential it looks to whine about not getting enough time?
Huckabee wastes 15 of his 30 seconds trying to be cutsie.
Good for Huckabee calling Chrissy on making this a lightening round question!
Terrible answer by Huckabee....too rambling...
Not scoring well? Perception is a weird thing.

Congress has to address the issue regardless, just like they did in 1983. It is going to have to be a bipartisan effort. The Dems will probably win the issue again by raising taxes and decreasing benefits. Changing the COLA formula won’t be enough, but it is a way to decrease benefits. The best solution is PAs combined with a small defined benefits program.
