humblegunner has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, October 3.
He has been extremely ill and today, after four days of antibiotics and the removal of a large amount of fluid from the area surrounding his right lung, he is finally beginning to feel better. His doctors have said that he will be hospitalized for several more days.
BTW - You have the mid-watch.

Good to hear you’re home...sorry to hear you’re feeling badly. Continuing prayers for your recovery.
Welcome back!
Glad to hear you’re home! Just keep healin’ up slow and steady - don’t try to do too much too fast!
Great to see you! :)
BLESS YOU, Darlin’, and I am so happy for you that I just can’t say. I’ve been saying my Rosary for you every day, and my prayer at night when I can’t sleep, and first thing in the morning ...
I’m SO HAPPY that you’re home!
Excellent! I was wondering about you. Welcome back.
Now, get your rest and take your your meds,
so you can stay away from those hospital beds.
I’m GLAD that you’re home!... and I hope you get back 100% quick! Good to hear from you. :-)

Good News Humblegunner........glad ya survived that bug in yer lung !
Take it slow, and real careful.........all about a good solid recovery now .
Ahh, the lovely sensation of no more drippy meds and morphine
pumps begins to sink in. Jumpin’ Jehosaphat...this HURTS.
Finally got a look at the carnage on my side & back...
4 holes, not 3. I had a tube in me (about as big around as yer index finger)
when I went in for surgery and had 3 when I came out. I assumed one of the
three was the same one I already had. Apparently not.
The 8 inch slash below my shoulder blade is pretty gnarley, too.
Looks like I took 4 rounds of 40 caliber to the side panel with
a little scimitar work thrown in for good measure.
Guess I’ll dig into the goody bag the pharmacy sent home with me.
Glad you are home FRiend - I got to hear about it firsthand this evening.
Geez, heck of a way to go on a diet! Try low carbing it the next time! LOL
Glad to see your posting on here FRiend! Sorry you had such a rough time of it. But the GOOD LORD had other plans for you. He answered some hard praying.
Take care (and no more worrying “old” nurses that way again! I may only be 56, but my health isn’t all that hot anymore, K?)

I'm undergoing Physical therapy myself right now, for a knee problem. One of the therapists is tiny little Japanese, by ancestry, lady. She's also retired US Army where she learned the Western style of torture to add to whatever came from her Eastern ancestors.
The other is a retired cannon cocker, who took up the fine art later in life. Yesterday he was working on another guy, the other guy was really, truly in pain. I told the therapist that if he did that in Abu Gharib or GitMo they'd put him on trial for war crimes. He just laughed, manically.
I'll bet your posts, before you just conk out that is, are going to be "interesting".
