If you look at it this way:

1. There is one God.
2. If you pray to a god and there is only one God then all pray to the same God.

That doesn't make any sense to me.

What beats me about the “Allah is not God” crowd is that exactly the same arguments apply to the Jews, who equally reject the Trinity and Christ as God.

More important than who people believe they are praying to would seem to be whether God accepts their prayers. And without some sort of direct revelation I think we’re left to speculation on that point. Although a good many around here seem quite convinced they have a direct line to God.

No, becuase some “gods” are of human origin (really demonic orgin), and others are a perversion of the ONe True God.

Thank you, No.

The counter to your argument is that when Lucifer declared his five “I Wills”, he announced he would make himself as God to be worshiped as God.

This means we have been warned that there are some persons out there who seek to be worshipped as God and our false Christs, false gods.

Besides, Hebrew Scriptures go way beyond the concept of one person in the Godhead, as well as various meanings of Elohim, in reference to not only the one true God, but also perhaps a council of lessor gods who have been known to condone injustice, so with respect to men, there are more than one god, but there is only One God, Supreme, revealed to us as Father, Son , and Holy Ghost, all one God.

“2. If you pray to a god and there is only one God then all pray to the same God.”

Unless you think God is your left elbow, or Sun Myung Moon, or Beelzebub, or any million other variations on theme.

If there is only one me, and you think you are talking to me, are you in fact talking to me? Not necessarily. I have to be there.

So all polytheistic religions are really monotheistic because monotheistic observers of the polytheistic religions say they are? Sounds a bit, um... egocentric.

I understand your logic and don't disagree with it. I believe in one God and I also believe in the Trinity although my simple mind does not truly understand. Other people have other concepts of God, to whom they pray. How God understands and accepts these prayers is beyond all of us and it is quite pretentious for us to make statements about how God listens to those who are non-Christian.

God loves all of us and is all forgiving and all merciful. I'll concern myself about how to gain his forgiveness and mercy for myself and won't speculate how he will show his love and mercy to others, including Muslims.

1. There is one Food.
2. If you eat food and there is only one Food, then all eat the same Food.

I don’t think so.
