President Bush met with his economic team today in the Oval Office. August 2007 marked the 49th consecutive month of job growth since 2003. And that's the longest uninterrupted job growth on record for our country. (Transcript)
The president also took this opportunity to speak about terrorism and to defend US interrogation policy since some people, like Senator Jay Rockefeller (Democrat-W.Va.) and the good folks at the New York Times, apparently have nothing better to do than worry about terrorists rights. (Source)
By the way, according to a recent FOX News poll, 1 in 5 Democrats thinks the world will be better off if America loses the war in Iraq. Not that we question their patriotism or anything.
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates arrived in Peru today and met with leaders and military officials.
And the new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen and General David Petraeus met with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Iraq.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
SuziQ - toooo cute... W and U ;-)
LOVE THIS OUTFIT TOO, SIR!!!
Thanks.
Daddy would shrimp until our freezers at the Fish Camp and our home were filled, then he'd continue so he could use the extras for bartering with friends for beef, peas and beans, fresh from the field, pecans, all kinds of good eats!
what a great pix of you & POTUS! where was this taken & when?
I must say you look... VERY HAPPY
Oh no!!!! they are looking at us!
Nice to see you Conor & I hope you are doing well. Any feed back from the meds on any progress health wise?
Thank you for the Dose tonight johnny! what a nice selection of pix.. and how nice to come here & not see either a bunch of trolls in the attack mode or a bunch of “removed” slots, realizing they had been here.
Appreciate the work you & other hosts do every day for us.
Heh, I wish it were him in person! That’s his wax figure at Madame Tussaud’s museum in New York City! I went with our daughter’s Girl Scout Troop on a weekend trip and we stayed at the Hilton in Times Square. Madame Tussaud’s was only about 3 doors down from the hotel! It was a very strange place. One of my favorite pictures is one our daughter took of me giving devil horns to Castro and Yassir Arafat. ;o)
Doing great, thanks - diagnosis is confirmed - still waiting to hear on treatment.
Thanks, jonny .. Happy Friday! The twins look pretty cute, all dolled up.
Pretty pathetic when the President of your country has to undo the misinformation imagined by the MSM and continuously keep correcting them about the importance of PROTECTING US in time of war!
I want him to keep correcting and rebuking them ... take the offense. I’m so glad he’s taking them on, and Dana Perino is gorgeous and brilliant to boot. Her comment you highlighted today is emblematic of the pack of children with whom she has to deal every single day.
Snugs .. all:
Here’s an article from USAToday (which CANNOT be posted on FR) about the Cheney’s at home, and their plans after ‘08.

Read the nice article. Enjoyed Tracy L.’s comments immensely (at the end of the article.)
Scotch is fine it is my preferred drink as well
Sorry Dolly forgot the vegetarians might find that a bit hard to take
Thanks for the link good balanced article for once, at least some of the responses were balanced as well the one that irritated me was that one poster said that Mary was hidden during the election campaign. Yeah having her head up your reelection campaign is hiding her, these people do they believe what they write or hear or are they just trying to brain wash others.
OK, now I’m drooling on my keyboard!!
I knew it was a wax W - you could tell by the museum background, too. It’s a remarkable likeness to our dear Pres, and a great likeness of our dear FRiend, SuziQ too. So lifelike..... -—just kidding!
