I think that Dobson must be a closet Democrat if he pulls a stunt like this.

If he backs any candidate other than a Republican he will be pulling a Ross Perot and giving the election to Hillary Clinton.

No, if the republicans nominate a social liberal (Rudy), THEY will be handing it to Clinton...

Some people actually care about issues they believe rather than worshiping at the altar of the Republican party.

Others realize that electing a liberal Republican causes far more damage than a liberal Democrat and don't want a scenario where both parties are left-of-center.

If Hillary gets elected it is the people who voted for her who get the credit. It is not the people who voted for another candidate who should be blamed. In the case of Ross Perot there is nothing that says that if Perot wasn’t running that all his votes would have gone Republican. That is only hypothetical thinking and to use that analogy is wrong.

Even giving credence to goofballs like Dobson indicates our political discourse is sadly lacking.

You obviously have never considered the fact Giuliani as the nominee would be another step down the path of socialism for the GOP that it has been taking for several years at the expense of Conservatives.

If he backs any candidate other than a Republican he will be pulling a Ross Perot and giving the election to Hillary Clinton.

The GOP has been pulling a Ross Perot against Conservatives for many years replacing core conservative values by adopting a more socialistic ideology in line with the socialist Democrats in an attempt to appease and seek compromise with their party. Doing so has deliberately alienated Conservatives to the point it is splitting the GOP and creating a potential situation for a socialist, be it Clinton or Giuliani, to become President. The GOP will have no one to blame but themselves if that happens.

BULL!

If the Republicans nominate a pro-abortion candidate then they must have a desire to elect Hillary. That is the only rational conclusion.

They will, in effect, be saying to us conservative Christians: "If you will only agree with us to murder our children, then we can win the presidency!"

I will not put my eternal soul in jeopardy with such a deal. No sane person who understands what we believe would ask me to do so.

You're absolutely right. If Dobson was really pro-family, he would never do anything to support the Presidency of Shrillary. This is a formula for another eight years of hypocrisy and dissolution of American culture and nuclear family. After eight years of Bill and all the havoc he wrought upon our society, I can't believe that any thinking person would do anything that might help her, of all people, get into the Oval Office.

The demise of the conservative Christian community may be the next fatality on Hillary's road to the White House. If they do not use their influence to stop from her getting elected in 2008, they will either be silenced by her or prove their own impotence by 2012.

Not hardly. He is a devout Christian who wants a sure enough pro-lifer on the ticket.

I listened to the exchange with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council (FRC) on yesterday’s Hugh Hewitt show. As an evangelical Christian that has supported Focus on the Family and several of the other organizations that were represented in the SLC meeting, I will use whatever influence I have (including monetary) to let the leaders of these organizations know that if they do not support the Republican nominee in a potential contest against Hillary Clinton (or Barack Obama, or John Edwards), then I will not support their organizations.

That is right. Dobson would be a traitor to his country if he did that. Nothing - I mean nothing - is more important than stopping the Clintons. I don’t care about Rudy’s pro-life or pro-choice position, his position on handguns, or any of the rest. Those pale in comparison to giving the the lying, thieving Clintons the keys to the WH. If the GOP nominee is Rudy, we must hold our noses if need be, and vote for him.

We cannot allow another “Perot Moment” here. In his hatred for GHWB, that arrogant little bastar* gave us Bill (43% plurality) Clinton, which ultimately begat 9/11. The Clintons sold the USA down the road and must be stopped.

I DON`T UNDERSTAND....Why doesn`t every good Republican just get behind this threat and nip Rudy G in the bud NOW?

Another thing...Why would it not be the fault of those that supported Rudy, rather than blaming the Christian wing of the party??

Why is it not just the fault of the loser Republicans that insist on Rudy?? That`s what I don`t understand.

Lets put the blame where it belongs.

f he backs any candidate other than a Republican

You mean a "Republican" of your liking, right?

There are actually conservative patriotic Republicans running, and their name doesn't start with a "T".
