President Bush is predicting that Hillary Clinton will win the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, according to a new book, 'Evangelical President,' set for release on Monday and written by FOX News contributor Bill Sammon.

Breaking his rule not to talk about presidential politics, Bush told Sammon, who writes for The Washington Examiner, that he thinks the New York senator will defeat Barack Obama in the Democratic presidential primaries, but will fall to the Republican nominee.

What did you expect from democrats? They look at hillary’s candidacy as a way to get Bill back in the white house.

It does appear she will win the democratic nomination, I just hope she does not win the presidency.

Actually, I think Bush should endorse Hillary. The DU would go into self-destruct mode.

The next step is endorsement.

Americans are being made the fools. How obvious is it.

Invest in Europe, especially the eastern side; they're a lot hungrier and on the average a little smarter.

I just wish their corporations would pay dividends.

Well, he’s already briefed her on the war, changing her position on how long troops would stay in Iraq. The leftists are crying in their kaffiyehs over that one. Nice touch on W’s part, helping set her foreign policy for her.

The next step is endorsement.

Nonsense. Anyone with half a brain knows that she will the the nominee, barring a fatal disease or other unforeseen event.

The President is just stating the obvious. And he is predicting she will also fall to the Republican. That's far from an endorsement.

The next step is endorsement.

I wish Bush would endorse her soon. No Republican would be stupid enough to fall for it and the Moonbat Left (tm) would make her a political leper.

It would be classic Rovian strategy. He's the freakin' President so the media can't ignore him and all he needs to do is show up and state his desire to see her elected every three or so months to totally destroy her campaign.

Put those negative poll numbers to use, George! Endorse Hillary! Just do it!

The whole Democrat-led Iraq discussion is a joke, like the media.

There are permanent bases there, there is prodigious oil wealth, and there is NO way American, or other western forces, if it comes to that, are leaving, for a looong time. You and I just won't be media-wise battered with it.

The media will make it look like Hillary brings them home, maybe 50,000, then will shut up about it, and make another issue the media focus. There are several issues, which are now, and have been, more important than Iraq (which can be handled by the US military and civilian support). But the selected "problems" ain't coming to the fore until the appointed wins.

The only way, the only way a conservative can win is to 1) force the hand on illegal immigration, 2) find a communication route around the media, 3) and expound articulately on what conservatism is, e.g. personal responsibility, to the point of passion.

I don't think our President has satisfied any of these. So he is either very very naive, or the fix is in.

They call it the Matrix.

I can see it now.

Somebody other than The Beast will be the Democratic nominee and the Dems will criticize Bush for being WRONG in guessing.

If she's elected the first ones to bail are going to be those in the military. How popular will she be when it's necessary to start a draft again? That is, unless she plans to just roll over.

I think we will have had it.
