Can’t wait until they commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the building of the Berlin Wall.

What a stupid thing to get upset about. Google recognizes a major technological advance. So what?

“Google ignored Memorial Day and Veterans Day...”

Never mind they recognize election day, Thanksgiving, and July 4, eh?

The liberals actually think they can advance their communistic agenda further if they can eliminate our US forces! A country without a military force can easily be taken over by the socialists....look at what Putin is going to Russia today. THAT’S THEIR AIM!

I’m not sure what you’re objecting to here. Sputnik was a big deal for the human race, not just the USSR. Fifty years of space exploration is worthy of celebration.

Sputnik is important to the history of technology. It inspired us to invent things that lead to... well Google when you get down to it. Sure maybe they shouldn’t have ignored Memorial Day and Veterans Day, but the 50th anniversary of Sputnik is worthy.

I agree that this is a silly thing to get upset over. LetS not forget that Google’s founder, Sergey Brin, was born in Moscow and lived there until he was 6.

This is just stupid blather.

They were recognizing a milestone in spaceflight, one that actually was rather accidental and that came about because of the scientists convincing the Kremlin that launching a satellite would be good propaganda. But the scientists’ objective was launching a non-military satellite to demonstrate it could be done. Both the Soviets and America were concentrating on developing ICBMs, not peaceful spaceflight.

Some of you are acting like Google was displaying a hammer and sickle.

The Google goons are a bunch of anti-military Leftists who purposely refuse to commemorate American Military Veterans both alive & dead...and their families while commemorating the Commie achievement.

Well you Google apologists can continue to make excuses for the Google goons and I will continue to expose the military hating Leftists.
