HOW CAN THIS POSSIBLY BE A RACE ISSUE!!! IT IS A CORRUPT POLITICIANS WHO HAPPENED TO BE A MINORITY ISSUE, NOT A LET’S GET THE CORRUPT POLITICIANS BECAUSE THEY ARE BLACK ISSUE!! I am so entirely sick and tired of everything that happens to a minority that happens to be negative some sort of racism.

"Another developer.. was subject to shakedowns in the form of "sham" objections by Reagan's black state employees group.

"Reagan would use (his association) to create the illusion of minority community opposition to the developer's affordable housing projects in South Dallas," Reagan, acting on behalf of Hill and Lee, agreed to withdraw his opposition in exchange for a $100,000 initial payment, a $15,000 retainer, $85,000 when the development's financing closed, $1,500 per hour for consulting services and 5 percent of the developer's fee and cash flow."

He must of graduated from the Jessie Jackson School of Empowerment.

"(was race a factor?)"

Your editorial addition to the story's headline is for what reason...?

Dallas is bidding to become the new New Orleans. It’s not built below sea level, but it is drowning in a swell of corruption and racial unrest.

The defendants are making race a factor with their bold threats to incite riots that will “make Los Angeles look like a picnic”.

The Potashniaks (or whatever the name of the couple that bribed most of these black officials) are also being indicted for their part in all this, and they are a white couple.

This story is made for Brit’s show. Fox needs to get on it. There is nothing as entertaining as these minority grifters, and it would be really funny until you realize it’s your tax money that is being ripped off to the tune of $500,000, tax-free to these criminals.

Another example of the govt having too much authority. They make way too many rules about zoning, building, etc. This enables them to be bribed so those same onerous rules can be bypassed.

Yes, race was a factor. The pig politicians were racing to the slop of corruption get as much as they could. They were racing to bribery.

traditionally black Paul Quinn College

That term has always amazed me for its ability to avoid the obvious term: "racist".

Just imagine a "traditionally white" college.

"This is a sad day for Dallas," said Mayor Tom Leppert. He sought to reassure residents that "all rules of ethics and conduct will be vigorously enforced."

Corrupt public officials being indicted is sad? I think it's a great day when this occurs.

The bribe PAYERS:

Brian Potashnik and his wife

The bribe TAKERS:

Terri Hodge

Don Hill

James Fantroy

D'Angelo Lee

From left: Allen McGill, Gail Terrell, and Darren Reagan -- all implicated.

Yep -- it looks racially motivated to me!
Blacks taking from Whites ---- Just like in Zimbabwe!

It is front page news in print edition today....

At least it's front page for a day. The New York Times would run a similar story about corrupt NY Dems on page A19. Even then it would take until paragraph number 6 before they revealed the party affiliation, if they even bothered to.

Now if it was GOP members, that would be included in the headline.
