HOW CAN THIS POSSIBLY BE A RACE ISSUE!!! IT IS A CORRUPT POLITICIANS WHO HAPPENED TO BE A MINORITY ISSUE, NOT A LET’S GET THE CORRUPT POLITICIANS BECAUSE THEY ARE BLACK ISSUE!! I am so entirely sick and tired of everything that happens to a minority that happens to be negative some sort of racism.

"Another developer.. was subject to shakedowns in the form of "sham" objections by Reagan's black state employees group.

"Reagan would use (his association) to create the illusion of minority community opposition to the developer's affordable housing projects in South Dallas," Reagan, acting on behalf of Hill and Lee, agreed to withdraw his opposition in exchange for a $100,000 initial payment, a $15,000 retainer, $85,000 when the development's financing closed, $1,500 per hour for consulting services and 5 percent of the developer's fee and cash flow."

He must of graduated from the Jessie Jackson School of Empowerment.

"(was race a factor?)"

Your editorial addition to the story's headline is for what reason...?

Dallas is bidding to become the new New Orleans. It’s not built below sea level, but it is drowning in a swell of corruption and racial unrest.

5% of cash flow....I can see the defense strategy now....He was donating this to the United Negro College Fund or Texas Southern University to payback the $500,000 Priscilla Slade (former college President) stole to landscape and furnish her private residence....

He was just righting a wrong with a deserved reparation.....right?

If you read the entire story...you'll understand. The FBI felt it necessary to declare race was NOT a factor....but do you think that it will become a factor?

The print edition section one page 10 header reads, DALLAS: FBI denies race was an issue.....

\If the FBI is already denying it was, would one not wonder there is a reason....?

I see your point... but if you arrest, you know, more then one African American at once, you might as well try to put the shield up early, because the accusations are going to fly.

The defendants are making race a factor with their bold threats to incite riots that will “make Los Angeles look like a picnic”.

The Potashniaks (or whatever the name of the couple that bribed most of these black officials) are also being indicted for their part in all this, and they are a white couple.

I gather you don't live in DFW because if you did you wouldn't even inquire as to why the poster added his parenthetical note. Cries of racial victimization was (and always is) the defense when any high profile black person is charged with any wrongdoing round here. The media has already become a willing participant in what will likely become a racial circus. I'm on Jessie watch already.

Sad...but history reveals that claims of racism may soon follow.... "The card" will be played sooner or later.... I can't think of a time when it wasn't...from assault to murder to corruption.

This story is made for Brit’s show. Fox needs to get on it. There is nothing as entertaining as these minority grifters, and it would be really funny until you realize it’s your tax money that is being ripped off to the tune of $500,000, tax-free to these criminals.
