Hi everyone....I'm here again asking for prayer for another tiny baby AND HER MOMMY.
Some of you got to know Philip and Monica through this thread 10-ounce baby.
Well, they had a little baby girl, Kaydance Noel, on September 24. She WAS due to be delivered in December but due to complications on Mom's part, she was taken early.
An update on Kaydance........she is off the vents, she just has CPAP, and is mostly on room air only. And she has been since Day 2!!!! She's being fed up to 3 cc's every two hours and is tolerating her feedings very well. I THINK she was 26 weeks, almost to the day, weighing in at 1 pound 9 ounces...Logan's weight....
For those of us who need a visual, that's the equivalent of 6 cubes of butter. Her prognosis sounds very good!!! THANK YOU GOD!!!
Monica.....was in the same hospital as Kaydance but was moved Wednesday or Thursday to a different hospital due to problems she's having. She's in ICU, due to a medical complication that the doctors still haven't figured out. They are, thru the process of elimination, ruling different things out.
She has a bad rash on her body, there was no mention of high blood pressure, although we don't know for sure. She WAS Pre-Eclamptic, which caused her blood pressure at that time to skyrocket, making it deadly for her AND Kaydance during the pregnancy.
The rash is starting to go away, although she has horrible abdominal pains.
Dad? He's a nervous wreck and could sure use our prayers too as he's having to go to two hospitals daily, for the two women in his life. We hear that he's now won Husband of the Year Award as he's been diligently cleaning that house from top to bottom so Monica doesn't have to do ANYTHING when she comes home.
She's not seen her baby since the day she left that hospital....
So! If you will be so kind as to join me in welcoming Kaydance Noel to the world, and join me in prayer that this precious child is able to come home to her (clean!) house....and PLEASE pray that Monica can heal of WHATEVER this is....and Dad...for his peace of mind and for the wisdom to know what to do....
They're a precious young couple, who I pray have nothing but the BEST in life.

Definitely!!! I’m SO sick of the hospital. It’s bad when everyone there know you by name, LOL.
Miss Kaydance is doing great. We went to the doctor yesterday and she now weighs 9 pounds 8 ounces!!! She is getting so big and active. She rolls over now and will be crawling soon (God help me!!!!). She goes back to the surgeon next week. I’m sure they’ll leave the ostomy for awhile and let her get a good bit bigger which is fine with me!!
She also is going to start a Early Intervention Program that helps Preemies with their development and to see exactly where they are. I think that will be great for her too.
She also does not have her apnea monitor anymore . . YAY!!!!!!! It has been so great to get rid of that thing!! So . . overall . . We are all doing absolutely great. I will try to post some new pics soon.

I’m so happy for you guys!!. She is soooo sweet; what a gift!!!
What a great husband and dad he is. To even think of cleaning the house at this time is nothing short of heroic in my eyes. We pray for mommy and baby and hope they can both go to that “clean” home very soon. Such memories of Logan that photo brings to all on FR who prayed so very hard for him. I’m sure those very same Freepers prayed just as hard for Kaydance and her full recovery. This is a great story of parents who wanted a baby, have been fighting for this baby and now look to be rewarded with her road to good health. We hope mommy travels that road too and yes...Daddy is indeed Father of the Year. Deservedly so. God bless them all and thanks for the photo and the update. She is “pretty in pink.” :)
