"But IMHO, we will get more mileage out of this if we let Harry go ahead and start the hearing, based on media lies that are easily disproven, and THEN hammer him. The last thing we want to do is to warn him off making such a stupid move"Also a golden opportunity for a certain Presidential candidate to step forward and crystallize the 89% US disapproval rating on Congress' performance.

Harkin had pretty much fallen out of the public limelight. He's gotta' be desperate to get involved in this.
Say, wasn't Harkin a "phony" himself? Some strange stuff in his biographical information?

As my post yesterday ...underscored, the unhinged Left is beginning to alienate its own base with its any-means-necessary tactics. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any evidence they have alienated anyone that wasn't already alienated.

The Socialist Left is using pure Stalinist tactics to tear down their political enemies.
McCarthy was a joke compared to what these despots do.

Odd, that 11% approval rating for Democrat led Congress when they saw fit to talk of Rush’s “declining ratings”.
They are getting to be single digit. HA!

Media Matters must be exposed to everyone and anyone who will listen. How about a well funded, high visibility website that monitors Media Matters' out-of-context cherrypicking. They could issue "Context Alerts" whenever MM does it egregiously. A good watchdog site that everyone is aware of would make it tougher for the media to get away with just taking MM's word for it.

This needs repeating.
The very idea of using Congress to regulate political speech shows an entirely new attitude towards free speech by the Democrats. If they gain control of the Presidency as well as Congress, criticism will become more and more dangerous. The atmosphere of ideological terrorism that dominates university campuses will prevail every where. I have no doubt that the FR will place high on their hit list, as will we all.

He’s my rep (arrrrrrgh), emailed, I’ll call later.
Hope he reads the transcripts before he steps in it !
On second thought he needs to step in it, cause I sure don’t want him as my senator. Didn’t vote for Moe either.
