Watch him throw his support to JulieAnnie.

LOL... or McCain.

Ever since that idiotic debate he had with Kerry on global warming... I couldn't stand looking at him. Instead of exposing GW as a scam... Newt tried to apply conservative 'solutions' to it.

I agree with you, Newt is brilliant but he has problems. I hope he is there working in the background.

:)

Let me go on record: I will not support a ticket that includes Alberto Gonzalez and it doesn’t have a damn thing to do with his skin color.

Remember he said he would not run if he saw that one of the candidates decided to run with a lot of his ideas? Well, then one of the candidates may be willing to do so. I think Newt got front and center for a long time on purpose making everyone wonder if he would run and having more of a chance to get his ideas out there as a result.

I guess I didn't get my 30 Million Dollar donation/pledge into him in time.

Sorry Newt.

You know, we haven’t played the who Fred will choose for vice president game yet. Let’s pander. Who’s a hispanic conserative?

George P. Bush.

But he's only 31. He'll have to wait until 2012.

Back to the past of Bush-Dole mediocrity. Ban guns and only Republicans will shoot themselves in the foot. I hope Newt continues to brainstorm on policy options and solutions.

Fred would be better off choosing someone from the mid-west or even California as his running mate. Someone with regional or national name recognition.

You're getting ahead of yourself but the real battleground where a VP choice could matter is the upper Midwest. Someone with large appeal through Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa would be the best place to regionally target a Veep. Those states were all extremely close in 2004.

As for Newt, I'm happy he's staying on the sidelines. He's a smart man who says too many dumb things. He suits us better in the background where his smart ideas don't have to conflict with his personal and political missteps.

If Newt could get his hands on $30,000,000 quickly I would have to wonder about his intent. I said the same thing about Fred. And by the way, an endorsement from Oprah should automatically disqualify any candidate from serious consideration IMHO.

Yes and no. Just responding to a posted remark about VP.

As for Newt. Lets hope he doesn't go off the reservation too far and either back Mitt Boy or worse, Rooty Toot. Newt playing a Judas-type spoiler, is the wrong role for him.

That’s good. There are a couple of good men in the race already. A Gingrich run would spread the action too thin for Repubs.

BTW, I am NOT a fan of Newt. I’ve been more then clear on that before. But I thank him for putting the movement above his own ego by taking his name officially off the rolls.

As for what happened to his October deadline? I think it’s pretty obvious a number of conservatives quietly have been contacting him with the obvious. If he entered, the split in the conservative vote would guarentee Rudy the nomination. he can be of use on the sidelines, but not the frontline.

Because he's planning on running in 2012.

If true, he's banking on a Hillary (or Democrat) victory in '08.

Not a good bet.

Hillary will not win the whitehouse, so he will look foolish running against an incumbent republican, but then again he has been acting foolish for some time.
