Every time Edwards speaks it is an indictment of the juries that have rewarded him enough lawsuit verdicts that he is a multi-millionaire.

Yes, the gobsmack quote was at the beginning.

Then he started talking about education reform and the pixie dust put me to sleep.
Verbatim, what he said was:
“Pretty soon we’re not going to have a young African American male population in America, they’re all gonna be in prison or dead.”
Nice, eh? lol
Obviously the solution is for the “gummint” to throw tons more money at the problem...

John Edwards downfall has already happened he’s just too arrogant and egotistical to know it. He’s been stuck on app. 10% forever. The only thing he is doing is helping the Republicans with these little idiotic quotes he makes and then has to send his wife out to “CLARIFY”. He is what a Democrat truly is, he’s just to stupid to keep it hidden all the time.
Will CNN ask if this was an “Imus” moment?
Or more simply put... “pay them to leave us alone.”
I still think he's trumped by both Gore and Kerry in that department.
Edwards’s comment was utterly insulting and stupid. I would like to hear the GOP candidates pick up on that and attack it as typical of Democrat thought, but I won’t hold my breath.
Well, there's a big difference between the two incidents!
Imus is a "shock jock" -- he's paid to say outrageous things. He's paid to say things that (he hopes) are funny. He was trying to be hip and use current day lingo. And he tripped up. Obviously, his career is over.
Edwards, on the other hand, is a professional lawyer who knows how to weigh his words. He's a candidate for president who thinks that all black males are criminals. He will continue on with his campaign, and this will blow over.
