It doesn’t matter if she cares. A bench warrant means that the next time she is stopped for a traffic violation or goes on a flight, her name will be flagged for an outstanding bench warrant and she will be arrested again. And failure to appear warrants don’t generally come with a $250 bail.

A bench warrant was issued Thursday for antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan, who did not appear for arraigment Thursday in a Washington, D.C., courtroom to face charges related to her Sept. 10 disorderly conduct arrest at the Capitol.Isn't this precisely the same situation that was used to justify sending the SWAT team after Randy Weaver when he failed to appear for an arraignment?

In a town up here in the pacific northwest, the local police went to taze a crazy guy out of a tree but the officer got confused about what was her side arm and what was her tazer and, well he got shot instead.
So I know who I’m hoping is on the team that takes her into custody.
