One comment from the Paulestinians forum:

I hate how Bollinger is priming the audience with negative sentiments.

Not quite sure where to post this, but if you go to the ronpaulforums.com thread, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at Columbia *ON NOW* , basicly they liked the guy, didn't like the neocon University president at all. No comments I'd consider anything worse than neutral, though I only read the first 5 or 6 pages.

There is something very, very wrong with those people. They really are disturbed.

I could only get through two pages.

Those people are nasty nutjobs.

Ahmadinejad will be the winner - but that would have been true even if Ahmadinejad took off his clothes, put his hand under his armpit, and made farting noises.

^^^^^

Which is the exact reason that he should not have been invited to that platform.

Btw, I like your tagline.

Thanks. Michael Yon's dispatches are wonderful to read. The guy really is a hero! Columbia has aided and abetted.

Yes they have. They (idiotically) play right into Li'l Akmed's hands. I can't believe that the CU students actually applauded. RE last night's PBS "The War" series, if Ken Burns was sooo adament in keeping politicians OUT of his film, why on Earth did he feature Sen. In-No-Way (D, Hawaii)? Certainly, Burns could have found an other surviving combat veteran of the all-Nisei 442nd Regimental Combat Team who was in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. And spending 20 seconds on the Battle of Midway makes about as much sense as dropping the Battle of Gettysburg from his Civil War film would have. The 1960's UK series, "The World at War" is far superior, as is the History Channel's "Last Days of WWII."

They definitely don't like Bollinger.

I don't like him much either, though for different reasons, we shouldn't have provided a propaganda stage. Those answers we thought were rambling or not addressing the question will be repackaged and broadcast as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sticking it in the eye of the Great Satan. My guess some liberal translation for the Arab world.

The applauding students at Columbia look like idiots.

Yikes. Did they actually applaud? Good grief. They ARE maroons.

No, Bush has nothing to do with creating the Iranian nutcase. What I said was that Bush is not very strong on offering an alternative to Iran - Bush is lousy on publicity, and doesn’t even do a very good job in this country on getting his message out.

Then shoot the bastard.

Quit bitching about his speech-giving.

Bitch about him being alive.

As rightly pointed out by others, Bush doesn’t give a damn about the polls. If he thought it was in our strategic interests to take this nitwit out, he would. Since Nutjob is alive and speaking, then Bush has either decided that Nutjob isn’t important himself (the mullahs actually run the country) or that it’s not in our military strategic interest to take him out.

For example, we claim that Iraq is a “terrorist trap” right now, and it’s like a roach motel where our military can kill the fascists over there instead of here. Since we had no idea what would happen when Saddam’s regime fell, shouldn’t we be a little uneasy about what will happen when we topple Iran?

These are the same people that would be killed by him if they were in Iran.

Pure academics are idiots. It is the same reason that fortune 500 companies are reluctant to hire PHDs.

The 18 year old kid arguing with his father about how to seed the fields next year. The kid has all of his books, and lectures, about the way things ‘should’ work, but the father has the reality, experience, and wisdom to make the right decision.

There is value in living in the real world where being incorrect does not result in an ‘F’, but rather it results in losing your home, your family, and possibly your life.

That is what we ‘little people’ call reality. And it is something most of the Columbia students will never understand.

The neocons did it, Bush lies, and this guy sounds OK. A good fit at KOS.

One more for you.... see post #659.

And, oh, I note when you disagree you accuse your opponent of “hysterics” and “bitching,” both slams at females.

Just noticing.

And, yes, this thread IS specifically about the speech, not about the prospects of war with iran.

Man, I am well past my 20s so maybe that is why I find that attraction completely disgusting.

Or maybe because there’s nothing “hot” about a terrorist. AT ALL.

We can't keep him out of the country because he is a head of state who is entitled to appear at the UN under existing agreements.

Yes we can. Kurt Waldheim was deemed persona non grata by Ronald Reagan, and several European countries, thus barred from entering the US for any reason. While I'm not aware of Waldheim attempting to use a UN visit as an excuse, PNG is a longstanding diplomatic concept used by all nations. It would have gone nowhere.

I wish you would! I'd click on that vile site again just to see the reaction. Those nasty little creeps deserve a cold dose of reality.

I wish we could transport 'em here to the Middle East so they could see how good they have it in the U.S.

a lot of the Ron Paul movement (such as it is) consists of leftists trying to boost an anti-war candidate within the GOP.

And to use the GOP nominating process to bolster his inevitable third-party candidacy (with Chuck Hagel as his running mate, probably).

Clintons don't... scratch that, CAN'T get elected without third party candidates who can actually draw in the 10+% range and weaken their opponents. The Democrat machine knows Hillary's negatives are above 50%. Ron Paul's their equalizer, just as another little Texan was back in '92. All they need are the anti-war/pro-lifers and the John Birch Society/NWO fringe and they'll have their 10%... and Hillary wins.
