Anyone know where I can find an audio or video stream of Ahmadinejad's appearance at columbia? Blan on blogging it I can find one.
We have more than enough to go on to go to war against Iran. We know of Iranian involvement in blowing up the Marine barracks in Lebanon, our embassy in Beirut [twice], the blowing up of Khobar Towers [read Louie Freeh's book], and Iranian furnishing of weapons and advisers into Iraq. Iran is the world's biggest state sponsor of terrorism and has been listed by the State Department for decades. The problem is getting the public and Congress to support such a war.
We can't keep him out of the country because he is a head of state who is entitled to appear at the UN under existing agreements.
Duncan Hunter also wrote a letter to the Pres. of the Univ.
and said sons and daus. of Columbia alumni are being killed and wounded by Iranan weapons.
What do you know, the Univ. Pres. mentioned that in his opening remarks so noted Hunter.

I’ll bet he is on again, saying the same things.
By week’s end the MSM will agree with Pat, and be dissing Bollinger.
You want to see hysterics?!!
I’ll give you some hysterics...
1) This guy was one of the captors of the U.S. hostages in Iran!!!!
2) Iran, via MadMood, has admitted and boasted of killing U.S. TROOPS in Iraq!!!!!
3) Iran, via MadMood, has vowed to wipe out Israel, i.e., JEWS!!!
Got it?!
ok
yes, in those two pics I posted I agree. But I don’t think it’s him in the hostage pic from 1979
yes, but it looks nothing like any of the hostage takers in the 1979 pic
Confirms my suspicion that a lot of the Ron Paul movement (such as it is) consists of leftists trying to boost an anti-war candidate within the GOP.
No real libertarian could have anything but complete loathing and contempt for Ahmawhackjob, an enemy of every form of human liberty if ever there was one.
Nervous talking to women? With good reason ...
On the Jezebel site, the twenty-something hipsters are debating whether he’s hot or not.

In case anyone is interested...
‘What does the Holocaust have to do with the Palestinians?’
I agree, but it doesn’t look like any of the hostage takers in the ‘79 pic
Exactly. So why is everyone crying about it? Let the guy in, give him enough rope to hang himself.
The problem is that Bush is not concerned about nuances and never has been - he doesn’t know how to use public opinion.
The main condemnation I've heard about Nutjob is that he has 'called for the elimination of Israel.'
All the MSM admits that, and it colors the guy as a non-serious, er dangerous, nutjob.
There's not a single thing Bush could say to accomplish that degradation. Nothing works as well as getting out of the way when your enemy is digging his own hole.
Next we're going to hear that Nutjob has to go, not because he's got nukes, but because he's offended NAMBLA! That's about all that can get the MSM to get excited about.
Just give yourself a hug then.
LOL

Pres Bush has nothing to do with Irans penchant for evil.
I totally agree - guess I misunderstood your angle.
I just believe it was counterproductive given the cirmcumstances. It just compounded the mistake of inviting him in the first place.
I half agree with you and half think this was a major dose of true freedom - something that Ahmadinejad does not understand. But the more I think about it - the more I lean toward agreeing with you. The Middle East propaganda value will be greater than the possible "awakening" that might take place in this country.
You need to look up the word gratuitous. The insults were not necessary except for Bollinger to cover his butt and not turn off alumni contributions and government grants.
I think you are off the deep in with that comment - there is nothing unwarranted or unjustified about pointing out the reality of the man's own statements and the reality of what is going on in his country. It may be fuel for the propaganda machine - but his statements were the truth and far from gratuitous.
As I mentioned, the only real gaff that Ahmadinejad made was his remark about homosexuals. Hopefully, that will prove to be the focus of the MSM.
That fact he did not answer a single question makes him look like a run-of-the-mill propagandist - the homosexual comment was just the most easily digested bit of lunacy.
