Some Veterans May Get TRICARE
Week of September 24, 2007
President Bush will ask Congress to provide lifetime TRICARE coverage to any servicemember discharged as “unfit” due to service-related physical or mental health conditions. In addition the White House is proposing that this TRICARE expansion be applied retroactively to veterans separated since 2001. This new TRICARE coverage would potentially open military healthcare to as many as 10,000 newly-disabled veterans each year. To learn more, read the article at Military.com.
American Legion Blasts Cross Ban
The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization has criticized the recent decision by the 9th Circuit Court to remove a cross from a World War I veterans’ memorial in California’s Mojave Desert. “This is one more prime example of wrong-headed political correctness and one more critical reason why the current Congress must pass the Public Expression of Religion Act.” said American Legion National Commander Marty Conatser. The Public Expression of Religion Act (PERA or HR 2679) would remove the authority for judges to award taxpayer monies in attorney’s fees cases involving litigation against religions icons and veterans memorials.
Prayers for God to exercise His awesome healing power on your
behalf, Conor. May He give you strength and courage for what
you might have to go through.
Thanks very much, Dubya.

Dolly, I sent you an e-mail you might like to use for a post sometime. I don't have the ability you and others have to "photograph" an e-mail or article and re-post as is....:^)
It is still warmish here too, so enjoying a kind of Indian summer. It doesn't get as cold out here in winter as back there, but it does get damp. Autumn is nice, though. I'm a nut for crunching dry leaves underfoot...;^)
Your boys are adorable, Deb.
