Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad waves prior entering the aircraft leaving for the United States at Tehran's Mehrabad airport. Ahmadinejad was to face angry protests in New York, where he was due to arrive amid a storm of controversy over his appearances at the United Nations and a top university.(AFP/Atta Kenare)

Protesters in Mahmoud’s country get gunned down or thrown in prison. This POS should not be allowed to set foot in this country. Take him out anywhere in international airspace.......or anywhere else.

The United States is obliged by diplomatic convention and as host of the United Nations to allow representatives of member states to visit areas within 40 kilometers (25 miles) of the world body's New York headquarters. Can't it be found that there is no open rooms within 3 thousand miles of the U.N. building?

I suspect that Columbia University will not be as hospitable to the free speech rights of the protesters as they are to the speech rights of Ahmadinejad.

What angered many New Yorkers more than anything was Ahmadinejad's plan to lay a wreath at Ground Zero -- the site of the September 11 attacks of 2001. New York City officials denied permission for the visit last week...Why did they ban him from Ground Zero? I thought the left's mantra was that Iran had nothing to do with 9/11.

Perhaps an F18 will mistakenly take his plane for a target practice plane and flame his ass. Naw, stinking Marxist Dimocrats would have a cow.

"The General Assembly of the United Nations is a good opportunity
to present the solutions of the Iranian people to solve the problems of the world," he was quoted as saying by the Fars news agency.
"We need to take advantage of such opportunities to present the positions of the Iranian people as they (the Americans) are very keen to hear them."

Protesters were due to rally at Columbia on Sunday and Monday against his address to the university, while Iranian opposition exiles were to demonstrate at the United Nations on Tuesday while Ahmadinejad addresses the world body. Interesting that the tense here is past tense for the protests. Wondering if all this talk about 'free speech' for NutJob has indeed infringed upon our Right to Free Speech, Assembly, and ability to protest?

Imagine if Hitler had wanted to come to the US during the second world war? This is the exact same thing. I say we use the opportunity to arrest him, and put him on trial for Islamic terrorism.
BTW, I realize that UN treaties disallow that, but imagine if we could save millions of lives by arresting Hitler before he organized the Holocaust. Wouldn't that be worth breaking the treaty? This is our one best opportunity. The whole world is going to condemn us if we miss this chance to stop this mad man before he kills millions.

Columbia's president Lee Bollinger, however, defended the university's decision to invite Ahmadinejad, saying that Columbia "as a community dedicated to learning and scholarship, is committed to confronting ideas."....unless of course the ideas have anything to do with serving the United States through the ROTC. Treasonous facist scumbags.
