Standing before a parade of missile-bearing trucks with signs declaring "Down with the U.S." and "Down with Israel," Iran's loudmouth leader warned yesterday that his country will not be intimidated.
"Those [countries] who assume that decaying methods such as psychological war, political propaganda and the so-called economic sanctions would work and prevent Iran's fast drive toward progress are mistaken," said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
His words came just two days before he was to make a controversial speaking appearance at Columbia University ahead of his U.N. General Assembly address Tuesday.

Ahmadinejad, who will speak directly to Americans in a “60 Minutes” interview to air tonight, caused a stir in the Big Apple last week when he asked to lay a wreath at Ground Zero.
His request was denied by the NYPD for security reasons.

Ahmadinejad has some freaking nerve, to sponser a rally the day before he comes to the U.S. , where his crowd is chanting down with the USA and Down with Isreal. I hope he gets a real New York City welcome, that only New Yorkers can give him.

No I don’t think Ahmadinejad is running scared from the USA, Isreal, or the Gulf Arabs, I don’t think he has enough sense to realize his folly. I am beginning to think he is just not playing with a full deck of cards. I hope that New Yorkers give him the welcome he deserves.
I think we have to look at the upside of the Ahmadinejad coming to New York, that this little man is humilated, and spit upon.
Amanutjob is trying to rattle his saber, but a plastic saber rattling against a plastic sheath doesn’t make a very impressive sound.
Ahmadinejad wants war, and is determined to provoke us into an attack so he can claim justification for retaliation against Israel.

The US needs to advise the Iraninan Hitler he needs to cancel his trip here and stay close to home in order to assist in the defense of his country.
