You have encapsulated what I’ve been saying for almost a year...when everyone was rushing out to try and pick the Republican to face the democrats...I was saying SLOW DOWN...this thing is starting way to early.

People want to criticize Sen. Thompson for starting his campaign “late” when he was actually starting it right on time.

The MSM and the Libs are driving this early election cycle like a runaway freight train for the precise reasons you stated.

Bravo!

IMO it is a good thing to let her ramble and spit out talking points as she inevitably does. People are not stupid and can see that a question has been asked and left unanswered.

Let’s see what happens, should she win the nomination and then have to go 1 on 1 with a Fred Thomson or Rudy or one of the other 2. Plus, there is a wealth of footage out there just waiting to be made into campaign commercials that will make her lies and flip flops evident to all.

Interesting column a while ago by William Rusher, National Review emiritus, who said that the entire Dem strategy is to retake the White House. Since retaking both houses of Congress last November, their real objective is not to get anything substantive through but to pile on making Bush look bad.

They will do this by passing bills that sound attractive to the average American, but which Bush will veto; and by using their sup-poena power to call people from the Administration before them. There are limits to what Congress can compel officials of the Admin to testify about, but “there are no limits on what an imaginative senator or congressman can at least demand.”

This attack strategy worked well for the 2006 election - defining Republicans as the party of corruption. This strategy is only going to intensify for the next 11 months. Republicans need to go on offense and stay there.

Last question pertains to Columbia and Ahmedinejad and Columbia— should they rescind the invitation? Clinton says “it’s up to them.”

Columbia University protesters prepare for Iran's president

It’s ironic that the students in Iran are protesting against their government, while the students and faculty of Columbia welcome their tormentors.

Freedom's Watch Announces New Print Advertisement in New York Times on Ahmadinejad's Visit

Protests against his Columbia appearance are planned at the university and the United Nations by demonstrators angry at his questioning of the Holocaust and declarations that Israel will cease to exist...Iran and the U.S. have not had diplomatic ties since militants took over the U.S. Embassy following the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Since then, the cleric-led regime has vilified the United States as the "Great Satan."

It is amazing how the lib medias attempt to infuse people with the “certainty and inevitability”of a Clinton victory has brainwashed people on this forum.

"Wha... she turned me into a Newt supporter!"

And that is a teacher saying “free” it is not free you only have to look at countries that have so called free health care including my own.

Taxes are sky high, quality is low and waiting lists for non emergency procedures long.

Dentists are so disillusioned with it and because they cannot do both NHS and private as their schedule would not cater for it most decent ones only offer private care now. It is very hard to get a good dentist on the NHS in fact if you miss an appointment without telling them in advance unless it is a very good reason they have the right to strike you off the NHS list.

Also if like me you do not like dentists and take too long they also have the right to say they cannot treat you under the NHS as you take up more than one appointment. So I am either forced to pay per visit or take out insurance for dental care and that is in a so called “free” health care system. Plus also both dental and optician care has never been totally free or judged to be paid by your taxes we have always had to pay something.

Doctors play the system and consultants earn big money on the NHS and then also practice privately holding clinics on their days off or evening or weekends.

They would soon discover how expensive it is I suspect I pay more in my taxes than the average American pays in health insurance and on top of that each year certain things are no longer covered.

We used to get injections “free” if we went on holiday - no more we know have to pay for them. Also flu injections unless you are over 60, a child or a carer again you have to pay for them.

Have not seen the Beast yet today and don't plan to but am curious did they edit out her "you knows"?

Yup. She was on script and no one challenged her. I think the pundits are afraid to challenge a woman.

The traditional British fruit cake which derived from the 12th night cake which was eaten on the last night of feasting is a rich fruit cake which need at least 2 or 3 months maturing so that it is moist and tastes of the fruit more than the sugar and cake.

It is then covered in marzipan and iced and then decorated with various Christmas scenes and items such Father Christmas, nativity scene, snow men etc etc.

Here we go...

First question from Schieffer to Hillary... oh, this is a softball: You said in the past that you’d be willing to cut off funding but not set a date. Is that still your position.

Hillary repeats the canned talking point from Fox.
