The traditional British fruit cake which derived from the 12th night cake which was eaten on the last night of feasting is a rich fruit cake which need at least 2 or 3 months maturing so that it is moist and tastes of the fruit more than the sugar and cake.

It is then covered in marzipan and iced and then decorated with various Christmas scenes and items such Father Christmas, nativity scene, snow men etc etc.

Hmmm, I’m going to have to check out your Recipe posts. We also have a large group for Christmas Eve. Those would be fun to share.
