Good evening to all.
I'd like to ask everybody's prayers for a friend who has fought a long and valiant struggle against cancer, but has come to the end of the fight. She's in hospice now, and it's only a matter of days before the Lord calls her home. She is a beautiful little lady, very faithful, very kind, and always busy in and around the church. She was in our handbell choir during her last remission, and played the bells next to me until she became too ill to continue.
Please pray that she suffer as little as possible, that Christ welcome her home, and that her family be comforted, especially her husband who is a deacon at our church and loves her so much. He is probably in greatest need of our prayers.
"For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."
Please pray for Sandra.
1. God sent His Son - they called Him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Chorus:
Because He lives I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
2. How sweet to hold a newborn baby
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because Christ lives.
(Chorus)
3. And then one day I’ll cross the river,
I’ll fight life’s final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to victory,
I’ll see the lights of glory - and I’ll know He lives.
(Chorus)
Although Sandra’s home-going will be with the tears of her family and friends, the joy bells of Heaven will be ringing at her appearing. Death, indeed, gives way to victory. Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift that makes this so.
Well wishes for a peaceful end.
BTTT
Prayers sent.
Carolyn
Prayers for Sandra are on the way.
Prayers up
Lord, please ease the passage of your servant Sandra.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, amen.
Prayers for Sandra’s journey home, and for the comfort of her husband.
Prayer ping!
AAM, everything Salvation has said is exactly what is in my heart and mind. May the Lord grant them both peace and keep sorrow at bay as much as possible.
Salvation, I believe it is only natural to have our faith waver from time to time; it is the merit by which we can measure our devotion. ((((((*hugs*))))))
Almighty and Everlasting God, preserver of souls, who dost correct those whom Thou dost love, and for their betterment dost tenderly chastise those whom Thou dost receive, we call upon Thee, O Lord, to grant Thy healing, that the soul of Thy servant, at the hour of its departure from the body, may by the hands of Thy holy Angels be presented without spot unto Thee. Amen.
Prayers for Sandra.
God’s will be done on earth as in heaven.
They will be in great hands.
Prayers for your friend, Sandra, and for her husband. May the good Lord comfort and guide them.
Prayers for Sandra and for those she has touched.
She and her family are in my prayers
Sometimes hard to remember that if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. May her family cherish every remaining moment they have with her on this earth and know that she is in good hands with God until they see her again.He will hear our prayers and their prayers and bring them comfort.
Prayers up. May God give her peace.
Sandra is feeling so much better, she has gone home, she is sitting up in bed, talking on the phone, and checking her Email!
Six days ago, a friend's wife visited her in hospice and said she was semi-conscious and unresponsive. The doctors had given her over and were predicting not weeks but days until the end.
It may be that this is only a reprieve -- but what a wonderful blessing.
I am awed and terrified at this. Doctors are not god. God is. May His holy name be praised forever and ever!
Again, thank you all with all my heart for your prayers and support. Prayer is a mighty thing.
