Great story! Much food for thought! BTW, there are no more tobacco subsidies. I heard recently that more tobacco is being grown in some areas of NC (a big tobacco-growing state) than before the program was ended. Now, those who want to plant more tobacco can do so because there are no more “allotments”. All it took was for the government to get out of the way!

Darn shame that an exchange student, presumably not here for very long, can understand and appreciate what is truly great about this country ... and it is not the government. Lately there is a proliferation of folks born in this country that do not understand this simple concept.
