Another Sherlock moment. Corruption becomes a way of life where government monies are involved.

Nothing will change. They'll just throw more money into the housing program.

Once again, proof that there isn't much the gov't does well.

Imagine how bad things would be, if the government took control of everybody's housing.
Then try to picture the results of "HillaryCare."

When the government subsidizes goods or services, everyone involved learns how to milk the system and the taxpayers end up as the losers. I used to work for a couple who owned several Section 8 rental properties. They were extremely fussy about who they would rent to: they not only wanted tenants to have Section 8 vouchers but to have jobs as well. Moreover, they created several different companies on paper so that they could charge higher rents to the local government agency that handled these rentals. Yet, they refused to maintain the properties and would repair them only if they were cited for violations or taken to housing court. These two pampered rich people didn’t have any qualms about profiting off the poor and the taxpayers.

...the deterioration of the buildings, an increase in rents and a waste of taxpayer money...Ooh, ooh, ooh!!! Can we hurry up and put these guys in charge of healthcare already? What are we waiting on?

You have got to let the properties decay. Otherwise there is no repair contracts. Remember the union motto, “Don’t Kill The Job!”

Make one wonder how bad it is for the ‘low income’ susidized housing?
