Here are Mr. Brunkhorst's posts to that other forum in 2004:

"Why you picking on me?

I understand it's been an emotional election, but WTF, I put my money where my mouth is. After tax cuts for people in my bracket, I decided to give my tax cut to defeat the Neo-Con's in DC. In my mind, they are the primary cancer in American politics. Dem's have baggage as well - most notably trial attorneys - another cancer.

The real question is: How do we make America a better and safer country? - Especially for fishermen...

My support for the Sierra Club is all about Florida's Phosphate industry, their dumping in the Gulf, and the resulting increase in Sarasota Red Tide. I realize my convictions make me an easy target for the RNC – forget about me – ask a local expert... and use your common sense.

The elections are over. George W. Bush is my President and I will support him, as I would any President.

I respect those who may boycott Boar’s Head products because of my beliefs. However, I know that my tax cut should have been used to reduce our deficit or to reduce payroll taxes for the middle-class.

I thank God I live in a country where we can agree to disagree and freely express our opinions.

Maybe I’m naïve, but that’s what America is all about.

Sincerely,

Frank Brunckhorst

"

--------------------------------------------------------- Guys,

Please remember that the Republican led FEC is responsible for their interpretation of Section 527. I abide by all laws - even those I don't agree with - why not be pissed at the law makers instead of the law abiders?

"However, usually donators expect some form of return, 900K down the drain, now that’s got to hurt a little."

It's too true that many donors (R’s and D’s) expect some form of return. But - not all of them - and certainly not me. If I wanted a loophole for meatpackers, I would have supported Tom Delay. Instead, I look at our soldiers, the working poor, the elderly, and the middleclass. They are the Americans making sacrifices in today’s world – while the rich get richer...

And, YES (!), the 900K hurts! - I could have given it to the http://www.nyfoundling.org where it’s now needed more than ever.

-------------------------------------------------------

If it makes any difference, rest assured that my days of political donations are over and I really do wish President Bush the best for the sake of America/Americans.

My heart is with the http://www.nyfoundling.org and they really do need more help than ever. I have everything I want or need (including my Grady Islander) – my future tax cuts will go to help the kids.

I still hope you’ll reconsider your boycott.

Agree to disagree?

Sincerely,

-F

on the other hand, boar’s head products taste great.......

i don’t have a problem with someone open in their beliefs who puts their money where their mouth is. He is unusually candid in his presented views.

That is a shame. I respect his opinion and his products, but will look elsewhere in the future.

Cheers Frank.

"I know that my tax cut should have been used to reduce our deficit or to reduce payroll taxes for the middle-class."

Gee - too bad he's feeling bad about making so much money.

I'll quit buying his products so he won't have to suffer so much!!

I knew Hillary Clinton was full of (Boars Head) bologna.

Don’t buy Boars Head much, will never buy it again.

Kroger carries Boar’s Head meats. No more for me. We should also boycott Progressive Insurance & CITGO gasoline!

What exactly is Boar’s Head?

No more ‘Boar’s Head’ products for us. (Unless he contributes to the Reps the same amount of money.)

If you're buying his products, you're funding members of the Democratic party, including Hillary Clinton.

I don't care if he's a Nazi. I will continue to purchase the finest cold cuts available, regardless of the political ramifications.

And their food is awesome. I buy his products for their quality, not for his personal opinions. It’s just as silly as if a Democrat wouldn’t buy from someone because they were a Republican. Everyone is entitled to their own world view.

See this is why I compartmentalize my life. Life is too short to eat crappy meat over something as silly as politics. Enjoy every sandwich, I’m sure there’s somebody that works for the company that’s conservative.

Thanks for the post, will definitely look elsewhere. Those who could care less to boycott these leftest companies are the same ones who could care less about whether the country is run by leftests.

If this is really Frank.

I have boycotted your products for years because I don’t like them. I don’t like the taste.

Okay, to be fair- the Florida phosphate industry has really screwed up Tampa Bay. No doubt.

But geez louise, why the HELL would you pump that kind of money into the DNC? This guy has more money than sense, because that’s completely naive.

What a moron. He likes to pay taxes. So why didn’t he just send his tax cut back to the government and ask them to reduce the defecit.

Aw...hypocrisy I imagine.
