A student at a John Kerry appearamce in Florida was tasered by the police when he would not leave the podium quietly and resisted arrest. Did the cops do the right thing?
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
This Meyer guy appears to be a Class A jerk. He buffalos up to the mic and then ignores every reasonable directive to reign himself in. It seems as if he intentionally provoked his physical removal. When the cops got the order to remove him, he began cursing, screaming, taunting, and wailing like a banshee. He was told calmly to cease or be tazed. He opted for amps. This was totally deserved. The cops have been put on administrative leave, which is pure BS. Meyer is a knucklehead who got just what he deserved. Even if he is a lefty moonbat at a speech by Kerry, lying defamer of Vietnam Veterans, the cops were justified.
LOL!

He should be grateful he was at a Kerry speech, and not a Hillary speech. His family would be making funeral arrangements by now.
KERRY’S ACTIONS IN THIS EVENT WERE REMINISCENT OF GENGHIS KHAN.
The best part was when Tereeeza started pelting the kid with gin soaked white raisins while he was being tased. Looked like flies hitting a bug zapper!!!
Those who were merely being facetious can stop reading now.
The rest of you are contemptible.
(1) You have no allegiance to the Constitution of the United States.
(2) You’re immoral.
(3) You’re a caricature of hypocrisy.
You all bring shame upon FR. And what’s worse, you’re either too stupid, too ignorant or too corrupt to care.
If you want to live in a police state with a one party system, emigrate to North Korea. The rest of us took an oath to defend the Republic against the enemies of liberty and justice for all, and now we know who you are.
The same goes for you too, Fitzy.
And then there’s freeangel who’s tag line reads,
“free speech is only good until someone else doesn’t like what you say”
Yes Sweetie. But that’s a bad thing, not a good thing.
I support the right of Kerry to speak. I support the right of the students to invite Kerry to speak to them. I support the right of students to ask questions if the forum provides for it. I do not support the student who was being disruptive. His rights to be heard do not override the rights of the others to participate in the forum. His actions deprived a whole room full of people of their rights.
Ladies and gentlemen, a future Democrat Senator from Florida! Following in Kerry’s footsteps.
I don’t see anything wrong with what he was doing. They began interrupting him very early in what he was saying. I guess because he wanted to preface his question with info he had obtained (as inaccurate as it may be), he was told to stop, which I find ridiculous. Stopping him is so anti-
American, it’s unbelievable. It’s not like he went up there drunk, cussing and calling Kerry names. He had pertinent questions. I don’t think someone should be stopped from talking just because they’re stupid. I’m surprised that so many on here agree with tazering someone for speaking what they think!! Y’all CAN NOT be real Freepers...
Well said.
His purpose, judging solely from his behaviour, was disruption. Yr hmbl srvnt would have given, had he been there, very strong consideration to ''interrupting'' him via a pop in the chops.
Police everywhere have a charge (no pun) for third-class jerks such as this, to wit: BNA...being an asshole.
Absolutely. Little punk needs a lesson.
You’re misinformed.
(1) Kerry came to speak and participate in a question/answer session.
(2) The student was waiting his turn at a designated microphone when Kerry invited him to ask his question.
(3) The student took 5 seconds to, pro forma, thank Kerry for coming to speak, and then started asking his question.
(4) 23 seconds later, the police interrupted him, but eventually allowed him to continue.
(5) 45 seconds after that, the police stepped in without warning to forcibly remove him from the auditorium.
You don’t see a problem with that?
More than that. He barged through people to cut the line, interrupted someone else asking a question, and demanded that Kerry answer his questions.
Kerry let him speak instead of tossing him out.
Then he went into a question that really wasn’t a question at all.
He fully deserved it.
“Little punk needs a lesson.”
Interesting. That’s exactly what Li Peng said about Chai Ling right before the Tiananmen Square massacre.
You’d fit right in with the party over there. If you don’t love the Constitution of the United States, why not leave and go someplace that shares your values?
